Sure in the long run it harms society, but in the short term, it helps next Quarters profits and makes the current CEO look good.

This reminds me of something I read the other day about a woman who was working back in the early 60's- they told her that they couldn't pay her the same as a man because he had a family to support. This was a common justification for paying women less than men. Now people complain that women want special consideration becauas of there families (like family leave, lactation rooms, onsite daycare, ect) What a lot of hipococrocy. Any excuse not to treet women fairly. First it was because they didn't have as many 'needs' as a man- now it's because they have more.
