In the last couple of days we've had people posting about racism, the presidential race, views on marriage, personality tests, anagrams, poetry, philosphy, theological debate, radio DJ feuds and clown fetishes. Anyone who thinks this board is overrun by fighting, whining, flirting and ass kissing is working too hard at looking for the shit. My advice: shut up on the moron threads and comment on the worthwhile threads. There are plenty of them.

<sigh> Half the people on this site complain that everyone's sooo mean and clique-ish, and the other half complain that everyone kisses each other's ass. I don't believe either side - the truth, as usual, lies in the middle.

I'd stay on topic, GuyJD, if I knew what the topic WAS (no offense, of course). What, exactly, is your point? You yourself say you have no problem with me, then call me a Nazi (for the record, I'm not a member of the Nazi Party, nor do I adhere to their beliefs. Just gotta cut that rumor down. ). I've read your posts over, and here's what I think you're trying to say:

1) People are too nice to me.

Would it make you happier if people insulted me? Is there something I've done that makes me worthy of insult, or do you think people should just be mean to me on general principle, to prove what rebels they are? I've never asked anyone to treat me any way, so your Nazi comment - in addition to being extremely offensive - is completely incorrect. Show me one instance on this board where I've instructed anyone to treat me in a certain way. There's been countless times on this board where I've been publicly challenged/insulted/etc. and I'm always done my best to answer the challenge as rationally and politely as possible. Yes, the compliments get piled a bit high for my taste, but at the same time it is nice to feel appreciated. As an author, surely you must understand. I, like you, am a human being.

2) There are other erotic story websites.

Really? Huh. So you know, we're good friends with Art, and he runs a quality site. I envy his programming talent. Richard from Richard's Realm is an awesome guy with a great site. If you're trying to start a "my site is better than your site" war, you're going to fail. I do the best I can with Literotica, and they run their sites as best they can. If you can do better, please do. There's always room for another quality site.

3) I don't post stories fast enough.

I've gone over this subject several times in the Author's Hangout forum. If you chose not to read my dozzen previous explanations of the time/money that we're putting into the scripts, then I'm not going to waste my time by writing it out again. Suffice to say, nothing happens overnight, nor does it happen for free. I wish it did, as I hate making authors wait so long to see their work. That's exactly why we're putting a tremendous amount of time and money and sweat into this. If it isn't happening fast enough for you, I apologize. I'll try to sleep less.

For all of you authors and readers, I promise you that once the new scripts are in place you will be very, very pleased with them. I appreciate your continuing support and patience.

For GuyJD, I really don't know what to say. Though I know it's rude to take so long to post your story, I don't think I deserved to be called a Nazi for it. Maybe I'm wrong, but it does seem a bit extreme.

Compliments are only considered ASS KISSING when you expect to get something in return.

It doesn't cost you anything... monetarily or emotionally to give someone a compliment to let them know they are doing a good job or that they look good or that you appreciate what they said .. or to let them know that something they wrote touched you in a special way

Now back to the real subject at hand........
NAZI: There is a huge difference between being called a
Nazi and being treated as, if I may use the term
correctly, a Literotic Nazi. I have no problem with
compliments. Hell yeah, you deserve all that are
given to you. But some of the members of this site
tend to take it beyond reasonable status. Hell, many
of our great leaders of the past or present never got
such praises. Much as I have pointed out above, an
individual takes time out to post a thread and along
comes others to post their praises and opinions of
yourself and every other subject but the thread.

BEST WEBSITES: There is no way any one website can be con-
sidered the best. Erotic Stories, Richard
Realm, Love Encounters, White Shadows,
Erotism, etc. has one thing that seems to
be better than the other. So whether or not
any of them is better than Literotica is ir-
relevant. If you've read my past posts, I've
credited Literotica for keeping many of the
stories online for a longer period of time
than most others.

Bringing up the past (and it's only been a year fer chissakes) reminds me of how dumb this whole "mood change" panic is. The "mood" has changed every three friggin' weeks since the Board began, and it'll change again tomorrow.

I never called you a Nazi but, instead, said that too many of the fellow writers were treating you as such. I mean really now, was that a compliment or a worship? The last time I confronted such a worship, everyone was wearing black Nike shoes and drinking vodka and poison before going to bed. o-: I was supposed to do the same but I accidently wore my black FUBU's and mixed Kool-Aid and 7up instead.
