They were up for an Emmy that year...Wut show do you like better? Bewitched wuz in there, too...I can't believe Green Acres wuzn't in there somewhere...

Get Smart was a good show. Too bad they didn't win the Emmy. Missed it by that much.

;)

Would you believe the Get Smart movie was nominated for an Oscar? No? Would you believe it was watched by two guys named Oscar?

I used to adore Davy Jones until I realized he was older than my mother, and looked nothing at all like he did on the show.

I even begged my mom to take me to a Monkees concert when I was seven. When they started performing I cried because I thought someone stole the Monkees and replaced them with three old men.

I was devestated.

I saw them in concert (sans Michael) for their 20th anniversary tour. Weird Al was the opening act...

Yeah. I began my devotion to Weird Al tunes after that concert.

Well, I like all the above mentioned shows, alot more than Bewitched. Get Smart was really funny, the Monkees had there own style of comedy that was great. (who would have thought running around being chased would be funny, hmmm maybe scooby doo got there idea from the Monkees)

while Get smart was quite funny when I was groing up, I've got to say the Monkees all the way. Davey Jones he's sooooooo dreamy! he he he (in my best Marcia Brady voice)

I'd choose Bewitched as first choice and Green Acres second. I don't think I ever watched "Get Smart" very much, and I barely remember the Monkees. Of course, I'm talking when these shows were on PRIME TIME (except I think Monkees may have been on Saturday morning.) NOT as reruns that you kids see these days. :D

Get Smart. The Monkees just seem to me to be a bad revival of the comedy made famous by the Marx Bros. The Marxes did it better, and Groucho sang Gilbert and Sullivan better than most. He even made fun of his own musical lacking on the guitar and harmonica.
