The Mob

Officer John Hardass drove up the street, his sirens blazing. Thirty other vehicles followed, each carrying four cops and a hell of a lot of arsenol. He looked up to the helicopter which had already been circling the place for quite some time now.
"Do we have radio back yet?" he asked into the cb. Nothing but silence followed. Static read from the radio, it was utterly useles...
"We hear you, the anti scamming device is in place," the man in the helicopter said. One of the best devices that Hardass could ever think was created. He let out a small whoop for joy, but the night wasn't over yet. They still had a criminal to prosecute.
"We have the place surrounded." it was supposed to be a question, but he barked it out over the cb as a statement.
"Thirty units in the front of the house, thiry in the back. It's secured, not even a mouse could get out of there without our knowing."
Hardass got out of the car, looking up at the house. Lucas' house, not bad for a multi millionaire mobster. They would all go down soon enough. He ran over to one of the swat team's vans. Three of them had already parked on the adjoining street.
"What's going on inside?"
The man was listening on a radio, he nodded his head.
"Two guys, two girls. One is definitally Tony."
His heart leaped and dropped at the same time. Girls? Hotages? Shit, this was no time to play hostage negotiation. This would however ensue that Tony got sent away for a long time... if he didn't die tonight that is.
"I want road blocks on all these streets, no one comes in or out."
He called to one of the sargeants, who was talking to an elderly lady.
"What did you see" the seargant asked.
"Well," she said, "the man pressed a button on a remote control. I saw it from my window. He pressed it twice, or maybe it was two buttons, I am not quite sure. Anyways, he pressed it, and the van blew up, along with that car over there."
Smoldering resinates of vehicles could be seen. One was definitally a F.B.I. van. Shit, some families were going to have to be notified.
He pulled out a picture of Tony, "Was this the guy?"
She nodded her head, "That was him."
A leutenant motioned him over to the remains of a small shed. It looked like it had been blown up as well.
"Whats all this?"
"This was where Tony blew up the van. There is bomb paraphenalia all over, and this..." he pulled out a twisted mass of a remote control. Hardass carefully put it in a plastic bag, fingerprints would have that identified soon enough.
"How's everything going?" he asked into his radio.
"Perfect, there are two teams of twenty men in the back, both swat and fbi agents, as well as our men, and three teams of 20 guys in the front. We also have a backup swat team patrolling just in case."
For a brief second he wondered if maybe this was a little too much, it was only two men after all. He was certain that the one in there besides Tony was another mobster, but he couldn't prove a thing just yet. For now, beinging Tony down was all he needed.
"Seargent," the man ran over, "Get that woman to a safe house, one preferably where no one but myself knows about. If those fingerprints don't pan out, she's the only one who witnessed this crime. Make sure she's completely safe."
The man saluted and ran off.
Hardass pulled out a M4 navy, and locked the clip home. He went to the swat radio one more time.
"What kind of arsenal do they have in there?"
"Big, enoughfor a small army. Even some shit we don't have yet."
This was what he had expected, thats why there were so many men.
"Make sure that helicopter stays alert, if anything goes wrong, they are going to be our eyes and ears."
He grabbed a bullhorn and walked back to the front of the house. It was a wall of police cars, barracades, and people all having guns aimed at the house. He nodded to the Swat agent called here to help them.
"Is the tear gas ready?"
The man nodded, "If that doesn't work, we've got a new stun bomb that will surely knock their socks off as well."
Hardass nodded, "Well, let's try a peaceful way first. He might just come to his senses."
Hardass turned the bullhorn on, "Tony. We know your inside. Come out with your hands up, and no one gets hurt."
He looked at the house, it seemed nice and clean. In about five minutes he knew something was going down though. He pushed the safety off of his navy and waited.
(How's that for being up shit creek without a paddle?)

OOC: Good to have you poohlive. Not to scare you away, but, gotta introduce the big guns(really big guns) so when the plot twist comes around, we don't get our asses kicked all over the battleground.

IC: Suddenly, a SWAT van exploded just out of nowhere. 10 huge, and I mean, huge tanks cleared the corner. They had enormous heat cannons on the back and 20 sets of chainguns on the front. 20 rocket launchers dominated their sides. Each heat cannon fired a 10,000degreeC heat ray. They had solid titanium re-inforced aluminum/steel alloy with bits of tridium for armor. 4 more ranks of ten cleared the corner, driving perfectly and shooting off everywhere. Tony happily bounded out to a balcony. "Smell the Perfection! Finally, you retards! Can't you man a DWAR properly?!" he yelled happily at the oncoming tanks. One soldier saluted Tony before ducking back into the tank. The tanks arranged themselves in a semi-circle around the house.

Hardass knew it, those damn russians would sell anything to keep their economy up. He called in for reinforcments. His teams could take on people yes, but not in tanks.
"What does the airforce have?"
In a sudden reply a general came on, speaking with a sudden boom of confidence.
"Everything we've got is already on the landing strip now. It'll be there in about five minutes."
Everything, that meant nuclear technology didn't it? He asked.
"No, this is america, we aren't blowing it up for one person wanted by the FBI, but we do have some great bombs and if you can clear out the residences, a few things I don't think even our friend has thought of yet."
He asked about the people inside.
"I will do my best, but unfortunately the house is going to get demolished as much as the tanks."
Hardass thought about this.
"When will they arrive?"
The general started typing on something.
"About twenty minutes, get everyone out."
A deadline, just what he fucking needed, a deadline. Hardass got to work, he radiod the helicopter to stand it's ground, get out of range of those tanks and keep and eye on the house. He told all of his units to evacuate the area. Not even a fucking dog should be anywhere near here. they all complied. Now, he needed to get one unit inside. He picked twenty men, mostly Swat team members. all of them in a group, along with himself, could get inside with little difficulty. He doubted any of those tanks would shoot at the very same house their boss was in. He went up to the gate. All of the traps and alarms seemed to have been off. He looked careful, someone had already snuck in here (wolf). Well, whoever it was had done a great job, he told them to follow her path. First through the gate, and then to inside the house itself.
"Quickly men, pan out. We need to take him down as soon as possible."
He checked his watch, fifteen minutes. Hell was going to break loose, and he was on the bottom floor.

OCC: Well if ya got a plot twist get to it and stop trying to run the show!

IC: Wolf smiled as she heard Tony freak.
Looking overat Nat,"Oh, look the calverys arived, yours not mine. Ten bucks says they think we're hostages.....oh wait we are..kinda sorta in a way."
Wolf leaned back in the cornor and waited.

Lucas looked out the window and when he saw everything out in the street he turned to Tony, "What the fuck is all this! I didn't want you to bring down a firefight near my home so what the hell are you going to do about this and don't tell me you have a plan because you can't have a plan for this."

He then moved over to where Natalya and Wolf stood and said, "Get dressed now. We are going to try and get out of here. I don't care if you kill me once we are out of this Wolf but I want to get out of this house alive. Oh, and Wolf- grab your weapons as I think I am going to need your help to get out of this one but if you wish to just leave me to fend for myself then I will understand because I know you won't trust me."

Lucas walked over to where his weapons were and pulled out his pistols then turned to Natalya, "Is there anything that you need or do you wish to walk out the front to the cops out there because if you are this is the last time that I am going to see you."

Hardass walked to the door, he looked over at Ears. Respectably calling him ears because of the device he had attached to his back.
"They still in there?" the man nodded.
"They are moving around though, preparing to leave."
"E.T.A on the planes?"
"Ten minutes sir."
Excellent, still had time in case anything went wrong. Although he didn't plan on anything going wrong at this point.
Hardass punched one of the walls, it left a rather large hole. He looked over at two of his biggest guys.
"You two, go into the next room and wait for my signal. When I call, break through the wall and get in there."
Hardass grabbed one man with a machine gun, "Go in the opposite room of them. Place yourself right up to the bathroom wall. When I give the signal, shoot your way into the bathroom, but nowhere else. We need to take them alive, you understand."
He saluted, and was gone.
Hardass picked up his radio, "Is my roof team ready?"
"Ready and waiting sir."
"When I give the signal, break into the window, and get in there. We need them alive, you understand."
"Yes sir."
With the rest, he wanted a frontal assult, but that covered just about every exit and entrance into that room. He was sure that Tony would be his in a matter of minutes.
Using the radio one last time, he asked if everyone was in place. They were.
Tasting victory in his mouth, he paused just for a second.

OOC: Poohlive, since there is no possible way that a car can catch up to one of those tanks, you could make it that Hardass jumped on Tony's tank before it set off.

IC: Tony leaped in front of Lucas, kicking him in the stomach so hard it made him bend in half and drop his gun. Tony followed up with an elbow to the back of his head. "I give the orders around here, moron!" shouted Tony. He picked up Lucas, and motioned to Wolf and Nat. "Follow me!" he shouted, pulling out his HK56. He shot the window apart, then jumped through the opening, shooting the cops who were above him, ready to swing into the room. He landed on a DWAR, and motioned up to it's gunner. He opened the hatch and jumped in with Lucas, keeping it open for Nat and Wolf. All rocket launchers pointed upwards, and four huge anti-aircraft guns came out of the back(OOC:We will definitely need these later) All other tanks followed suit. Wolf and Nat had the sense to get into the tank, and suddenly it raised up, it's treads dissapearing into it's belly. Instead, 4 thrusters came out. 8 out of the back.(OOC: Those will also be extremely useful) All other tanks did the same. They all sped off.

Lucas sat there and looked at Tony, still groggy from the hit to the back of the head. He wanted to get the hell out of here but he didn't want to be here, even if it meant his death at the hands of Tony or capture at the hands of the cops or the feds he had to get the hell out of here. He moved closer to Natalya and tried to figure out how exactly he was going to get out with her but when he looked around he knew it wouldn't be possible. He looked at Natalya and saw that she was scared of the situation that they were in now and took her hand in his.
"I will try and figure out a way to get us out of here," he whispered low enough for just her to hear.

"Don't worry little kiddies, we'll be safe and sound very, very soon", chuckled Tony, guessing(OOC: Emphasis on GUESSING) what Lucas was thinking. "Unluckily for you, you probably won't like the safety I'm providing for you", he continued, chuckling. "Lieutenant, how far till we're to Alpha?" asked Tony, leaving Wolf, Nat, and Lucas with five soldiers armed with submachineguns and pistols.

Hardass looked at the remains of the room. There was a lot of struggling going on here, nothing more.
"You tried to shoot to kill," he asked.
"He was like a machine, we didn't get much of a chance. The snipers weren't much help either."
Hardass nodded contently. (There is no tank on earth that can go faster than a car, please base some of your advanced materials in reality). He looked over at a Sargeant.
"Are we tracking him?"
"Yes sir. The tanks are all heading in one direction. They have weapons out and waiting, we are following by land and air... all out of range."
"How many?"
"Around twenty aircraft, and an innumerable police array. The last count was over a hundred."
Hardass nodded. He quickly headed back to the station, where a new headquarters had been set up. They had survelliance, and radar, everything needed in the latest tracking system. One had a close up of the tank Tony was driving.
"Who invented those thing?" Hardass drank a cup of coffee.
"A Tim Colloway, of the Nasa Space exploration system," one rookie piped up, looking at a computer screen," they were one of the original devices to explore mars, but a small fault didn't allow them to go."
Hardass nearly dropped his coffee, "What fault is that?"
"They are very versatile vehicles, but they easily crash when trying to go over..."he paused, looking back up at the passage," high boulders and larges mounds. They tip over, and become basically useless."
"Does Tony know anything about this?"
The officer shook his head, "these things are only three months old. Even if he decided to take the necessary steps to be able to learn this fact, he wouldn't have had time to do anything else. And we know he's been far too busy to even occupy himself with such a project... besudes," he looked at the computer screen again," The flaw can't be fixed. No matter what, those machines aren't able to go over boulders."
This did give him an advantage. He quickly placed a call to the local quarry. It was past midnight, so someone would have to be woken up, it didn't matter much though. They were so close, nothing could stop him now.
"Follow them closely, where are they going to go that has absolutely no way out."
Three men began examining maps and survelliance videos. By dawn, Tony would be his.

OOC: Sorry, poohlive. They won't be faster than cars. That tunnel will lead to the only thing that keeps us alive when the twist is developed.

Tony came out again, armed with a pistol. He looked at Lucas once, then at the armed men. "He hasn't seduced you, has he?" he asked jokingly. His tank was about third in the "convoy", but was also covered with extra weapons. Pretty soon, the first and second tanks had stopped, and Tony smiled. Only him and the drivers had seen what was coming next. A slight rumble caused a few of the men to jump. A huge portcullis made of one solid plate of these tanks' armor swung open to reveal a huge tunnel. The tanks plunged in, the door closing behind them. The door was sudenly blazing with electricity. turrets and cannons also popped out of the ground beside it.

Hardass watched the surveillance video. He sighed deeply, so close, and yet so far away.
"Bomb those defenses," he called. A single bomb, nothing really inportant just a few sticks of dynamite came out. It exploded right in the middle of everything. Shocks and shards of things came out everywhere. He looked closed. A tunnel, a fucking tunnel. Who would have believed it.
"Get me the underworks of this city and the surrouding rural areas. I want to know what that tunnel is, where it goes, and how to get inside safely."
"Working on it sir," one of the sargeants ran off.
Hardass watched as a few people walked up to the door. He called into his radio.
"Those traps might be undone, but there are certainly more inside. Tony isn't a fool."
They nodded, stepping back.
Hardass called the planes off. They needed to refuel, and if Tony was underground, they would be of little use to him. He told them to be waiting, but grounded.
He got to the scene as fast as he could. The police had made up a baracade now, not that it would do any good. Cars were parked in a huge circles around everything, swat and F.B.I. vans pulled up more and more. The entire United States declared war on Tony as the sun rose up.
"Got the maps on it Boss," he heard over the radio.
"Good, fax them here. We need a hint as to where they went."
The fax machine in one of the swat vans roared to life. The quarry called, they had the boulders ready. Hardass gave them the location, and placed a call a local drilling agency. He needed to be able to dig into this place as soon as possible. If there was someway to get in here, he wanted it found out.
The maps were complete. Hardass examined them closely.

The tanks were there in 2 hours. Tony, no matter how many times he saw it, still pracyically choked. It was like a huge steel sphere. Only the steel sphere was 50 miles in diameter, and contained a city!(OOC: Yup. Them is gonna be really important. Think Survival, people) The city came with it's own security system. Hundreds of these tanks, the only vechicles that were really of any use, floated through the city, empowering the laws. There were only a few laws though, and they all gave money and power to Tony and his most elite men. Also, turrets and pillboxes were everywhere. "Citzens" of the city walked in large tube-tunnels. But this thing made New York City look Stone Age. It had spent them many, many years to create this. At first, they were going to use it to dump nuclear waste, but a few had different ideas. Now, it was a huge underground city, that produced it's own food from farms and ingenious methods, and produced it's own industrial products as well, using an industrial zone, which channeled the smoke out through many unfindable smokestacks. Tony was not scared of a nuke in the least. The tunnel was about 70 miles long, and flak could be shot to stop any missile. The city itself could not be drilled into, as of the heavy steel and other such high strength metals that coated the sphere. But the greatest weapons were pure genius, or at least according to Tony, they were. They were called the fingers of vengeance, or FV's. They truly resembled huge metal fingers, bent halfway. But the end pulsed with electricity. The electricity, in turn, could be shot out. The downside of these weapons was heavy electric power created by 6 power plants alone and 5 minutes to reload. To make sure the electricity would not spread to the rest of the city, and kill everyone with extremely high voltage, they had covered the metal with rubber many places, and also, made it quite pleasant to walk. Anyway, the tanks pulled up to Tony's headquarters, and he had the others led in by gunpoint. He now sat at an executive chair in what appeared to be an executive office, only he was heavily armed, and so were his gaurds. A large computer screen came out of the wall behind Lucas and the others. A smaller one came out of Tony's desk. The screen was broken up into ten images that showed different parts of the city. At a nod from Tony, 4 gaurds ran off, but came back a second later woth chairs for the "guests". Tony motioned for them to sit. "Like it? Took us 20 some years to make. Really is breathtaking, isn't it?" asked Tony, almost friendly.

Ooc: Well, you got me.

Hardass looked inside carefully. He couldn't risk any of his men in there. It was too dangerous, he was thinking about taking some tanks in himself, but their department had no budget for that. He supposed maybe the F.B.I. did, but they wouldn't flaunder a couple millions dollars in one night just for one mobster,
Hardass got into the car, downhearted.
"Next time Tony... next time," he drove off.

OOC: Didn't mean to make it like that. Sorry.

IC: After the cops drove out, something decidedly strange happened. A strange light suddenly washed over the landscape, and suddenly there was a bright flash and glints of metal.

Ooc:Not your fault. I was just role playing how an actual head of police would handle the situation. Everyone has to back down sooner or later.
