The mindless masses

Oh my God

I've held my tongue long enough and now I'm gonna get my little white ass in trouble. Again.

Why does everyone bow and scrape to the so-called "experienced" ones? (Oh I admire your opinions and your judgement, I have so much respect...blah, blah, blah)

From what I can see if I post huggs and kisses 126 or more times (gag me) I could be "experienced" too.

Give me a break folks. Huggss and I love my Master sooooooo much is such a load of crap!

I know everyone will say "if you don't like it then leave" but I seem to want to come here in some sort of sick fascination to read all of the posts by the mindless masses.

Sweetwood, you summed it up right..."but unfortunately not too smart."

Now I need a drink.

Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk

My Dearest Unregistered!

You are mindlessly violating these gentle souls that like to whip each others ass.

It is insensitive, totally unnecessary and sooooo to the point. Unfortunately it is also very, very rude. *hugs*

Do you need a sub?

And by the way you quoted my poem wrong! That would normally be punished with non-communication. *hugs*

*smooch on your lovely ass* :p

I am such a suckup! *hugs*

One of the mindless masses. *giggles* *huuuuuugggggssss*

Unregistered, you're fomenting dissent just for the sake of being mean. If you have a legitimate issue, why hide?

The "experience" to which people refer with respect is usually real life experience of BDSM relationships. I've not seen people say in seriousness that the number of posts someone makes is indicative of their BDSM knowledge. Close reading would do you a world of good in terms of comprehension.

Sweetwood--I do not understand why you've chosen to be so consistently negative. What do you gain from jumping on an anonymous bandwagon of ugliness and intolerance?

some serious words

RisiaSkye:

I do admit that I am somewhat negative. I have experienced real life bdsm and I am floored by the way people in this forum take themselves seriously. Not once, in response to all my posts, has anyone answered with a humorous retort, putting perspective on what we discuss here and what this forum is about.

It is disheartening to see that. I personally feel, that people who take themselves and their kink this serious, while actually not even doing it (see L/D and internet bdsm) are very dangerous. So I try to be the mirror in which they can see themselves. There are many good people here, that I take deeply serious in their pursuits. None of them has felt attacked by my posts. Does that not give pause?

People respond to Unregistered? I try not to even read Unregistered posts anymore. 99.44% of 'em are shit-stirring like this one was. No point in bothering.

I understand a little better your intent, but I'm still unclear about how negativity fosters an atmosphere of not-taking-onesself-too-seriously. It seems to me that good natured ribbing is difficult to convey if one's posts all tend to negativity. But, that's just me.
And I ask more out of curiosity than anything, as I dont' feel personally attacked by your posts, just a little confused as to what it does for you emotionally or intellectually that you find satisfying.

I think, though, that people who are trying to find a RL BDSM relationship have every right to take themselves seriously, just as you have every right to judge them for doing so. Just don't be surprised if they don't take kindly to being ridiculed for their efforts.

In a sense, don't posters on all other boards bow and scrape to the more experienced posters? Whether the experience has to do with real life drama, posting and research or simply by nature of being outspoken, this "mindless mass" thing seems to be an epidemic. Well, I can't say that it is bad to show someone respect who has earned it.

What you don't see is what happens in pm's, emails and phone calls wherein friendships have blossomed based upon respect.

Also, this board has a very specific topic for discussion. If you want to see me chuckling at myself or others, go to the GB or the Personal's Board. This forum has evolved into a place for serious discussion about BDSM.

Our personalities are not one dimensional. However the boards don't always allow for a multi facetted person to demonstrate all of him or herself. Frankly, I wouldn't do so even if I could.

Now, to lighten things up a bit....as I chortled with Spectre T over lunch some time ago, we live in an area where in men who fuck their daughters and their livestock would have us drawn and quartered for wanting to be tied up and spanked!

Thank you for your pointed question, unreg. IT does give one cause to think. And Sweetwood, I am glad you explained your posting a bit....I have never been offended by you, but like Risia, just wondered.

I love rural america! :D

I never ridicule people for their efforts. What I attempt to do is to mirror back to them the hypocritical bs they buy into when the search is not so full of effort.

Coming to grips with one's sexuality is hard work indeed. And often we wander strange paths in doing so. There are people in here that "play" with issues that are mostly very serious when they are struggled over by us. THAT is what I find hypocritical. And why do we all have to suffer the behaviour of 12 year old menatlities of the southern belle stereotypes with *hugs* and *kisses*. A dominant is not worthy of adoration because he makes you feel smarmy, but rather because he tests the boundaries chosen by the person submitting to him/her with responsibility, integrity and genuine concern for the well being of the submissive and himself. Walking the edge requires this, and not being caught in formalities of an illusionary playground.

"Are you ready to play hard" asked the dominant of cimbidia in her description in the thread. If you taste the seriousness of this question in the context in which it was asked, you can understand the issues I have with some of the people on this board.

Walking the edge every day of my life (although not so much in a bdsm sense) makes me shiver how lightly some of the things here are taken. Hence I wish to be the Court Jester of old who holds the mirror up to fools, of which mostly I am one.

I, too, have extensive RT experience. So does Risia. so do many of us here. This is a forum for people who do this in thier everyday lives, Sweetwood, or intend to get there as soon as they can. This is *not* some kinda onliner/chat room hangout. You do realize that, don't you?

And you've been more than just "somewhat negative" in the majority of your posts here.
Not once, in response to all my posts, has anyone answered with a humorous retort, putting perspective on what we discuss here and what this forum is about.
We offer humor all the tiome when it's appropriate and called for. We laugh. We tell jokes. We make funnies.

We don't do it when we don't feel it's called for. Why on earth would anyone joke with someone who is both (1) new to us, so we don't know you, can't tell if you're serious or not and/or (2) has been shockingly hostile from the first post? Why would anyone joke with such a person, Sweetwood?
I personally feel, that people who take themselves and their kink this serious, while actually not even doing it (see L/D and internet bdsm) are very dangerous.
I personally feel that most of us would do well by adopting a more tolerant "live and let live" attitude while maintaining our focus on the discussion of everyday life BDSM, or getting to everyday life BDSM, anyway.

JMO, of course.

Yep

I admit to curiosity, sweetwood.

Why did you post this thread as Unregistered?

oh no

Will you believe me if I told you that it was not I who posted this thread.

I have no need to hide.

I am a very open minded person, and I believe a dose of iconoclasm is always healthy, we should not take ourselves too seriously. So I agree with the principle behind your posting style.
However, I think that the way it manifests is such that it deters people from understanding your intentions. Negativity just makes people feel defensive.
Perhaps if you stick around a while, get to know people a little better, and more firmly establish your credentials as a knowledgeable member of the community, people might be a little more willing to look into your mirror, and see what you wish to show them of themselves.

But sweetwood's right about humor being a way to put things in perspective. I just think he and I might have different definitions of humor. I don't think it's particularly funny to laugh at someone else's expense. If he does, it's no wonder that he has been disappointed in the lack of that sort of humor on this board.

Just a few - uhm - remarks ...

The mindless masses, Oh my God
I am a natural blonde, so brains I have not!

I've held my tongue long enough and now I am
gonna get my little white ass in trouble. Again.

You haven't held it long enough, so I think -
why not bend over and I'll treat your little ass to some kink?

Why does everyone bow and scrape
Wait - have I been missing something of late?

to the so-called "experienced" ones?
Uhm - I am not after a whole BDSM-month???

(Oh I admire your opinions and your judgement,
I was starting to doubt it, glad you told me my friend

I have so much respect...blah, blah, blah)
Uhm yeah, I can see that indeed! aha

From what I can see if I post huggs and kisses
just make sure you spread them even between guys and Misses's

126 or more times (gag me)
Tempting! (and holding ball gag up to see)

I could be "experienced" too.
Sure - if you have nothing better to do ....

Give me a break folks. Huggss and I love my Master
is getting you into his arms and heart a lot faster

sooooooo much is such a load of crap!
sooooooo strange you should have noticed that fact...

I know everyone will say "if you don't like it then leave"
To me it sounds like good advise that you give!

but I seem to want to come here in some sort of sick fascination
so who are the mindless ones around here - mind an explanation?

to read all of the posts by the mindless masses.
Not those of us representing style and classes?

Sweetwood, you summed it up right...
and I guess I'll sum up too now, and call it a night

"but unfortunately not too smart."
you know - it isn't really breaking my heart!

Now I need a drink.
And a name to go with I think.

With Artful's permission,

bows down to the ever-talented and delightfully "wicked" Hectate
that was awesome!!! didnt know ya had it in you..:rose:

southern belle stereotypes

Excuse me?

Just popping on here to say some of us are southern belles and not once have I put any hugs or kisses on this board.

southern belles

I do have to say that I have a stereotype of southern belles. (I know, I know, it is just a personal experience with a bunch of them)

I do know that the majority of southern belles do not hug and kiss especially on this board. But the sickly sweet syrup dished out with frequency, while occasionally good for desert makes you gag and eventually vomit if it becomes daily fare.

It is disingenuous! It offends a persons intelligence! And if it is displayed it must be exposed for the emptiness it is.

There - I had my say for the day.

Tah

Sweetwood

May the whip be with you

Whips and other implements

I seriously like the riding crop myself.

Hard, slender and nasty on the ass, when licking to my heart's content.

Oh the welts.

Sweetwood

May the whip be with you and the crop with me:p

It is only disingenuous if it is not meant sincerely. And since reading it, you don't know if it is sincere or not, why not just give people the benefit of the doubt? It doesnt cost you anything.
