I wouldn't want you too, honestly. 😏

That would be a negative experience for both of us. You'd have to read all of my garbage, and I'd keep cursing the constant uno-bombs whenever you gave my stories an honest score 😆
Jokes aside, I've only read Eldritch Pact. The fantasy setting, the fact that it is a goddess who does the "forcing", the fact that it is a guy who is being "forced" and the fact that it ends well, all contribute to me seeing it more like a fantasy/bdsm story.

I don't really know what your flavor of non-con is. I don't mind roleplaying non-con that much, or even reluctance stories if they are done with a positive vibe. I still probably wouldn't like reading those in general, although it really depends on the angle - how close it is to bdsm (which is ok with me); if it is done with a positive or negative vibe, and so on. Rape stories are just a huge, glaring NO for me, regardless if the victim feels pleasure or not.

Just hit 100 followers. I know some of you folks are legends in your own lunch time but it feels special to me, considering my stories are pretty niche and I'm certainly less than prolific.

Finally hit 200 followers in only 8 months.

Well TECHNICALLY I have 198, because of @NoTalentHack , @seraph_nocturne, @DomBombadil, and @MsFrizzleFucks
🖕

🤣🤣🤣🤣
Like a lot of folks on this site, I was an anonymous reader here for a long, long time without ever making a Lit account. I finally got off my butt and made an account a little over 5 years ago, and posted my first submission 2 nights later. It caught me completely by surprise when people "added your story to Favorites" and "so-and-so has started following you" because I'd never had an account and didn't know you could do that. (Comments likewise surprised me, even though I had been aware of them. I just hadn't paid much attention to the comments on stories I read over the years.)

I was so busy trying to write and submit those first few chapters and stories that I didn't take time to contemplate what "Followers" and "Favorites" actually meant. I was jazzed that my first few chapters had gotten over 10k views apiece. Then I took a break from writing and figured I'd take the opportunity to add some of the stories and authors I had enjoyed to my own favorites list. I'd read thousands of stories here over the years, so I was lazy and snagged a few I clearly recalled from some of the top lists. That meant I was following "obvious" names like silkstockingslover, HeyAll, desurtdawg, TryAnything. As soon as I did that, I got to see how many followers they had, and I laughed at my temerity. All of them were over 7k followers!

I didn't understand that they were among the 15 most-followed authors on the site.

Then I looked at the number of views at the top of that "leaderboard." Good lord. Over 12 million views???

Well, this past week I hit two milestones I would never have imagined: 8,000 followers, and the total views on my stories have surpassed 14,350,000 -- just slightly more than the most-viewed story on the site.

While I take the craft of writing seriously, I don't take my own stories here seriously at all. NO idea how I've hit those benchmarks, but there seems to be a prevailing view here about "appealing to the penguins" or something.

All jokes aside, I mentioned to MediocreAuthor just yesterday that I’m pretty proud to have hit 100 followers with only one long running series and two standalone stories. I definitely have my collaboration with @NoTalentHack to thank for my last ten that put me over the threshold. 🥰

Here’s hoping my next hundred comes quicker! I’m branching out into the categories and got quite a few Event submissions planned… I’m setting my goal for at least five hundred followers by the end of the year!

I'm quite happy for your success. Maybe a little envious, but not much. :)

This speaks for me as well. I do my best with my work, but end of the day know I'm writing smut on a free story site with no real measure of quality so I don't let it go to my head.

Thank you, love… and I think Lovecraft68 might be on to something, a lil’ collab goes a far ways. Counting the followers from the meta Alternate account in my collaboration I’m at like 125 or something like that.

Overall though, I think I just lucked up and people like crazy fucking zombie apocalypse stories. With shows like The Walking Dead and The Last of Us so popular right now, it’s an easy niche to play to. I had like 13 followers when I returned to publishing here in March.

Congratulations. Those are impressive numbers. I also agree with your perspective, and I'll add that I don't really see a difference in story quality overall between those who appeal to penguins and those who appeal to something else. Good storytelling is good storytelling.

Seeing this is the brag thread....my comic book store, and me by name are mentioned in the letters page of Walking Dead #10. A customer wrote in to say how I recommended the series to him and he was blown away. That was my shop's five minutes of fame.

If you don't know the history of the comic, the first three issues sold so poorly they were offering retailers copies of #1&2 for free to push it. Now you see the success its had and talk about a miss for collectors.

I had a feeling about it right off the bat and grabbed a bunch of each. I sold the last number one just before season one came out for $1650.

I don't know. The only person I've really written with was Pops, and this isn't he's type of writing. If LC means my friend Mary, I'll pass on that. If there is another Mary, I'd have to see what she writes.

Another one of those milestones I hate... I just passed DanielleKitten on the favorited authors list. Danielle was a mentor and supporter from early on. I would much rather she was still here, actively writing, and leaps and bounds above me on the list. I always sigh when I see a familiar name from the past below me on that list.

If you haven't noticed, other than horror, we aren't all that compatible. Mary's all interracial and cuckolding. I only wrote cuck stories by request and don't do that anymore. But if she has an idea for something that won't have a cuckolding tag involved, I might consider it, I guess. But being friends with someone, and being able to write with them, aren't mutually inclusive givens.
Well, I'm not talking Mary Magdelene so it must be that Mary.
If we did write together, we'd have to come up with a spiffy pen name, Ellowes Queen, Perri Masonry, Bramluesia Stoker, or some such name.

Really sucks because of the reason why she left, and that it was allowed.

What about two girls one story?

That’s cool as fuck. Good call on sticking with it, it blew up big time… the comic and show are definitely one of my favorites in zombie media. 🥰 I’ve been wanting to watch the new spin off so bad but I don’t wanna run the risk of any bleed over inspiration so I’m going to have to wait until I wrap my series up.
