Oh! That's nice to hear.

I never check those lists. I must have caught it at the tail-end of my "reign of terror."
To be honest, your last chapter had an absolutely insane score of 4.97 (obviously with 100+ votes) for a while, so my poor chapter had to settle for a second place with a tiny bit less insane score of 4.95 (also with 100+ votes of course) Later your chapter tumbled down somewhat (it wasn't me :D) and I held the #1 spot with the same score for a while. It is so easy to get sniped with such insane scores  And yeah, it was sniping because both yours and later my story as well tumbled down significantly just by getting one or two more votes. Good times ;)

Hey, if you say so. I was happy with that story, and I'm proud of it. I'm glad people read it.

I did take a screenshot! Still, I’m very puzzled how this ever happened. I only went looking because I won the category best for Dec of 2022, of which I was also very surprised. I’ve never had that before.

I think it's mostly a matter of timing. Most of my stories start out with very high scores. I assume that's because of followers getting a notice and making up a disproportionate share of the early votes. If that early, favorable vote comes in high enough and fast enough to get you to the 100 votes that qualify you for the All Time Top List before the one bombers show up, you'll get at least that one day of glory.

My story, Finding Scarlet, which was posted in Letters and Transcripts, has finally reached 2000 views! After five months!

On the upside though, due to its relatively short length (4500 words) and its nature as a transcript, I thought it might do well as an audio story. So I offered it a very popular Lit audio contributor and she loved it. She's putting it on her list of things-to-do. Fingers crossed.

New milestone for me:

Just put the finishing touches on my newest story and it currently clocks in at just over 17K words before editing.

I'd have to double check, but I'm pretty sure it's my longest story to date.

Another milestone to go along with it:

In all those 17K words, I only used "pussy" once.

And not even in a sex scene.

I think I made a booboo, I re-posted my vampire story which I'd pulled down earlier in the year. I reworked, had it re-edited, and then re-posted it with a note explaining that it was a re-post of story I'd taken down. It's taking much longer than usual to go up. I shouldn't've put the note up I guess. I have two more stories to post in the series, after that one goes up, but they are for the Halloween Contest. I just hope the first story goes up before we get to the contest :( !!!

I can be such a ditz.

I posted my first story 6 years ago. Someone just Faved it, which is nice.

858k views, 4194 votes, 267 comments, 1600 faves/bookmarks, 279 followers, from 57 stories. A few more about ready to submit.

My Followers number has been roughly stable for ages, because over 60 came from my one incest story, but a few vanished after each of my next dozen, back to my usual kink with queer overtones. Ah, well.

An average score of 4.55 despite four 750-word pieces and a couple others which didn't score well. 44 red Hs, 20 are over 4.7, 4 over 4.8, 2 over 4.9.

And 2552 posts on this Forum... I wonder which has more words from me - the story side or the forum side of Lit? 🤔

Oh... so you're a... a cat person?

The things we find out too late.

The 2022 Readers Choice nominations have been posted, and I have received two!

Funny little fact, Isabel , which is nominated for Best Novel/Novellas, is the longest standalone story I've written, and
The Blowjob at the End of the World, nommed in Humor&Satire, is the shortest. I'm hoping it wins as a vindication for all the 750 word stories that got unfairly low ratings.

I did not look too closely over all the categories, but I saw some familiar names among the nominated authors, including @SimonDoom, @Duleigh , @Omenainen, @AwkwardMD, @TarnishedPenny and @onehitwanda

Congratulations to all the nominees!

Best of luck to all the nominees. I shall read and vote.

Congrats. I didn't even know about this until you mentioned it. I was nominated in the little-seen Letters category for my story Dear Matt, My Husband, my first time writing in that category. If you hadn't said something I would have been oblivious to it.
