Hell, Six flags over Texas isn't just a amusement park you know,now there are a lot of Texans here.
Many may also speak French, Spanish, German, Vietnamese, Chinese or who knows what...but if you ask them they will say without hesitation that they are Texan Americans and it doesn't take an observant person to see they are proud of it.
I always thought that was sort of an odd thing to name an amusement park for. I mean, they don't call Disney World "Trail of Tears Park."
At least in Texas there's a historical accuracy connection though.
We have a Six Flags near DC. But I don't think they really had six flags. In honor of the Star Spangled Banner, they could call it "Just one Really F'ing Famous Flag."

This has been a major concern of mine for the last 10 years or so. The distance between a reasonably large percentage of ‘rich’ people – and the likely maintained percentage of poor (in this country), has drastically expanded. The Middle Class, are the ones who will suffer for the disparity.
That has everything to do with the crash.
There’s no question that The Middle Class is what sustains and turns the wheels of this country. In effect, the Middle Class has – when matched against the expanding rich – been kicked down to Lower-Middle Class. And after that there’s Upper Class and beyond. There IS no more Middle Class. Income levels LEAP past a sustainable income into a fearless one.
That’s not healthy for the sustainability of the country. And we’re seeing that.
I want to be clear that I am in NO way a Socialist. The term Capitalism, to me, means nothing like Michael Moore says it does. It’s the REASON for our success. I cherish and support it. In America, if you come up with a great idea and bust your ass? You deserve to be rich beyond measure. There’s nothing wrong with the motivation of Capitalism. The problem only occurs due to human... greed. Abuse of the system. Deception. Thievery.
Capitalism is not designed to support thievery. In any manner whatsoever.
Therefore, the people are flawed – not the theory.
Once we stopped creating things – and turned the market into money made off money? It was due to all collapse. Once again, Capitalism is not designed to create a rich get rich off of riches. That’s a byproduct benefit that has nothing to do with its design. The DESIGN – supports creation. And when something is created? That creates a need for a populous to both support/enable the manufacture of that creation as well as a purchasing public in need of it. That’s the synergy.
Once irresponsible greed set in (and I blame a 20yr phase where obvious dishonesty was accepted in place of accountability. Which as far as I’m concerned all started when Bill Clinton said, “I smoked but didn’t inhale”. Thereby confirming he’s not only a liar to both sides of the issue but point blank declared that he’s willing to FAKE a toke in order to satisfy a room full of impressionable people. Forget about whether he smoked a doobie or not – listen to what he actually SAID there!! How can you vote someone in after they say, ‘I’ll be Richard Nixon, I have no problem with that.’ (In the end he got some good things done, but accountability got raped and pillaged. Bush made it mind-numbingly worse. Literally, did not give a shit at all that you know he’s full of it... Ooops, rant.) Once integrity left the building... we were doomed. Why create when you can simply fabricate instead?
And who will take the beating? The Middle Class. To the point where they no longer exist. The wheels of the country, no longer exist.
And until integrity gets a more proper distribution of value? We’re screwed.
