Against the backdrop of Secretary Clinton proclaiming that there is [my words] no way in hell that we are going to put boots on the ground in Syria or Iraq! we get a familiar historical refrain, first advisors and trainers, then, as just announced, a few special operations forces, then eventually a few more to protect the boots already there and to save face, and then eventually all in...

;) ;)

There's something happening here again, it's Déjà v all over again:

Fighting them on non-American soil did make a certain amount of sense to me, but that doesn't really work if you're going to leave the back door wide open.

It's is ironic comedy beyond belief for President Obama to leave himself wide open to shots from President Erdogan about unsecured borders...

It is also funny to see the announcement right after Hillary shouts, Non! Non! Non!

;)

[She learned to say that from John Kerry who conversely said Oui! Oui! Oui! to Iran.]

Even funnier, President Obama is blaming Turkey for allowing ISIS to sell it oil (CO2 in its pre-used form) while NOT bombing the oil wells for fear of environmental damage...

Where's Yossarian when you need some sanity?

When the POTUS becomes Turkey's bitch you know we're in trouble.

Wasn't "restoring America's prestige abroad" one of the traitor's campaign promises?

That worked out well.

That will fly right over the heads of almost everyone here.

We will be rich in Egyptian cotton!

In his circles, home and abroad,

President Obama orders leaflets dropped on tanker trucks warning them of an attack to minimize "civilian" casualties and then sends in too little ordnance (to keep a low profile, don'tcha know) to shoot up more than a couple of tankers.

I guess that's good. It keeps the damage down to less than one US rail spill as Buffet transfers the Keystone oil in his rolling stock...

Next thing you'll be telling us is that there are a bunch of 'whiz kids' micro-managing military operations from the basement of the White House.

In The Traitor's ROE it's imperative to minimize our enemy's damage to life and property...if we get them mad they will use that anger as a recruiting tool.

Who said liberals don't live in Bizarro World?

No, Valerie Jarret fired them and is taking her orders from Tehran in order to combat the encroaching influence that the Brotherhood has with Obama.

:D

There can only be ONE!

The Traitor's new Chief of Staff is none other than Baghdad Bob!

Our troops, our special ops, are going to be faced with a conundrum of Catch-22 proportion.

The enemy fights among its "innocents" and if any of them get harmed, our soldiers pay the price, but if we cannot provide "body counts" then more troops will be sent in, until body bags begin coming home...

And all the time the Administration will continue to use use words like disorganized and contained.

It's a smarter kind of war.

Maybe he's just showing the nation how he'd handle crime if he were the mayor of Chicago.

That city has become a Democrat cesspool.

Things have gotten so bad some are calling for Rahm Emanuel to resign. His replacement will probably be the local head of the SEIU.

The Democrat elites do not resign.

They find evil fall guys to defenestrate.

The only problem is, they got rid of the Republicans.

So now, the party can only purge their white Liberal monsters.

Which means that now, the white Liberals of the Big Cities and Universities are in the same boat...

;)

A Sanctuary Ark of their own creation, built of their ideological blood, toil, sweat and tears that was to be the new Eden.

...

LTG Charles Brown, Jr., head of U.S. Air Force Central Command, told Air Force Times, “As we work through this with our authorities and our lawyers and others, we want to minimize civilian casualties associated with this. We can’t say that everybody that is around those trucks is 100 percent Daesh. That’s the reason why we give then an opportunity to leave.”

It has, no doubt, something to do with President Obama’s demand for a “zero casualty war,” refusing clearance for up to 75% of bombing missions to avoid casualties on the ground. Pentagon spokesmen told reporters, “Despite U.S. strikes being the most precise in the history of warfare, conducting strike operations in the heavily populated areas where ISIL hides certainly presents challenges. We are fighting an enemy who goes out of their way to put civilians at risk. However, our pilots understand the need for the tactical patience in this environment. This fight against ISIL is not the kind of fight from previous decades.”

“Tactical patience,” consulting with the lawyers, and immaculate warfare is of no use to people dying today. An impossible standard of casualty mitigation only means the U.S. is indirectly rather than directly responsible for their misery. And while that may salve the president’s conscience, it means prolonging the war means with more attendant suffering for those in the war zone.

Ish, who needs a room full of eggheads when you have their nominal leader in charge?

Many operative phrases in there. But the 75% 'denied' stands out as one. Who is denying those missions? (The Whiz Kids bro.)

Exactly how does one remove an embedded enemy presence from a population? Air Power? Apparently everything that Horner taught CentCom has been forgotten. Or maybe CentCom hasn't forgotten but our micro-managing Commander in Chief never learned. You either go in and root them out one by one or you seal the place off (ala siege tactics) and starve the bastards out. And if you go for the siege the civilian population is going to suffer right along with the combatants.

Regardless of your choices you are stuck with who's going to administer the area after the dust settles. In Iraq is it going to be the existing Shia' regime? Think there might be some retribution meted out there? And in Syria?

The powers that be have also forgotten the "Sherman Doctrine." The fastest way to end a war is to wage total war.
