I had been hovering in the door way more than a little overwhelmed by all the new faces most of whom I had never officially been introduced to.

Smiling shyly at the room in general I edge backwards a little further.

She smiled warmly at the shy Lady,

"Enjoy the water, Milady and thank you for your kind words."

She made a mental note to stop by and visit the Lady soon. There was just something about the sweet shy lady that drew her attention.

Hitting...pool...hot...water...

I think I've heard that before somewhere

How it all comes together :D

Uh huh, sure. How's that one thing coming?

The yakuza princess you mean? I'm still debating between a drug cartel thing (and why), a suspicious death of a rival's crew or a personal threat to his daughter as a reason for her needing a bodyguard all of a sudden.

:D There's also the possibility that she's just a little brat and he wants to keep her out of trouble?

yeah, that too.. seems she likes to draw attention to herself by getting tickets and creating disturbances in night clubs. Daddy is not happy to say the least.

So many possibilities.

M keeps getting distracted from work when he hears sweet whimpers. *nods and grins*

*getting a certain funny feeling that M might be grinning and enjoying her response, she pulled up her messenger to confirm that fact*

Not really. But I found out that after making my first five monthly payments on time, my credit limit will go up to 500.

Yeah, credit will do that for you. I just love how they suck you in. But, the thing is? You really can't live without credit these days.

Exactly. My minimum is 15 dollars. I intend to pay at least 30 though.

Living without credit is pretty difficult. The key is to not live -on- credit. I think that's the distinction too many young people fail to make.

Difficult, but not impossible. I think a major failing that people have had in this recession is their own unwillingness to accept a lower standard of living. Downsizing your life when you're facing hardship makes a great deal of sense but, time and time again, people absolutely refuse to do so.

And, inevitably, when the recession messes with their income and they do not downsize their expenses, credit is conveniently there to make up the difference.

Game. Set. Match.

A part of it is predation by the upper class but I tend to believe they have that right. I think people need to stop pointing fingers at banks and companies and claim responsibility for their own spending habits.

I don't typically have a lot of remorse for someone who bought a 300,000 dollar home on 60,000 salary and didn't have the sense to stay away from an adjustable rate mortgage. Are they foolish? Yes. Did the bank take advantage of that? Yes. But whose shoulders does that burden really fall on?

A late addition:

I'm speaking about spending habits. The behavior of banks in regards to investments and leveraged loans that lead to this collapse is an entirely different conversation.

I agree. When recession hits, learn to give up things. It won't always stay that way. Eventually, people will be able to return to having the things they were use to. Everything is affected in the circle. People cut back, demand cuts back, prices cut back to entice you back in.

I just think people forget they lived without certain things before they acquired them and then think they can't live without them now when just the opposite is true. And another thing I noticed, people tend to buy without foresight. Just a little is good enough.

What if a recession hits? How am I going to continue to pay for this? Can I? Will I still have a job?

As said, it all rests on the consumers' shoulders.

I'm sure M will agree:

It's fucking sexy when a woman speaks like a fiscal conservative.
