She knew what he needed. She moved across the lawn, met him half way and reached for his hand, giving it a squeeze.
She recognized his touch orientation and he took her hand lacing fingers with hers. as he walked with her. "I've missed your friendship Cait." he said softly walking with her, his voice soft, his eyes alternating between sweeping her face and taking in the view around them.

"Come, sit with me, Glad. I've had a hectic day and all I want is to relax. Join me. Please."

He nodded. He stopped first and drew her into his arms holding her close. "I would love to." he said softly, "My day has been long too."

He stopped. When he came to a stand still, so did she. What she hadn't counted on was him drawing her into an embrace. For a brief moment, she simply stood there, then she hugged him, tightly. Their relationship was not going to be as it once was. They had moved beyond that. But he was her friend and he needed a hug.

he held her for a long moment before he bent his head to brush his lips softly over hers a gentle touch. before he pulled back slowly. He moved to sit on the swing and patted the spot beside him, "Will you sit next to me?" he asked softly.

She allowed the kiss. It was a gentle touch. Something between friends renewed. She smiled.

"Of course."

I sat down beside him and sat back, sending the swing into motion.

That was not the type of kiss he wanted to give her. He wanted to kiss her with passion, with sentuality, as he did of old, but... he had just come back into her life. They were not at that point... But god he wanted her, he always had. But he also did not wished to get run through with her dagger either. His lips almost twitched into a smile at that thought.

He didn't know how much of his thoughts she could read on his face, but she had always known him well.

"My heart sings to see thee." he said softly. He said it in the common tongue rather than the elvish one. For now as he said it it had a slightly different meaning. It was not the renewing bond of a lover per sae but now this time more an honest way to say that he had missed her.

She had always been able to read him. They had a bond. They always would. it may be a little strained now. She was sure time would mend it. Maybe not exactly in the same way as it had been, but new, different, perhaps better.

She reached over and squeezed his hand. "I've missed you too." And she meant it. She had missed him. Maybe not the way he had missed her, but still.

he smiled, "I'm glad to have been missed. It has felt strange staying away like this. Like I cut off a part of myself seperating from you and everyone else. I know things had to change between us, and I have come to see it in ways that I couldn't then. I do wish to be in your life again though. I am willing to be your lover, one of many, for we both know manogamy doesn't really work here... Its too limiting for a cite like this. But only if it feels right for both of us... For now I wish to start by renewing the friendship we have tonight." He gave her hand a squeaze. "Alas I think it is time for the both of us to retire." he couldn't help the slight smirk that came to his lips. "And, no much as I want to I am not going to drag you off to the nearest bed, even cave-elves have some manners.... that'll come tomorrow." he said, that last part a joke, to try to get her to laugh. He rose and bending down kissed her softly on the forehead.

"Good Night Cait... rest well." he said softly.

She smiled. over the days to come, they would talk. Find their way into a relationship they both could live with. She wasn't sure that would be easy. But she would try. Her Alpha would be disappointed if she turned Glad away and He wasn't above ordering her not to. But she did this for herself, not because of an Alpha command that she knew would not tolerate disobedience. She had promised Glad to be his friend, to be there when he needed her and she would not break that promise. It was not her way.

She did laugh at his attempt at a joke and she knew it was also to put her at ease. She felt his kiss on her forehead and smiled up at him.

"Good Night, Glad. Rest ye well."

She went inside to collect her shawl from her room and vanished to the shoreline of the Outlook to take her solitary walk.

Back from the RW, making his way through the doorway into the wide open space of the Great Room...he notices the silence, figuring she is probably still in dreamland. He has not had breakfast yet. Removing his shoes at the entrance this time, walking slowly towards where he thinks the kitchen might be...the cold floor feels nice against his feet, considering how hot it has been outside. He did not sleep well last night. Tossing and turning all night. Slightly tired, and his thighs aching due to the unexpected workout from a couple of days ago. But he doesn't mind the pain - it was worth it...he hadn't had this much fun in a long time. Smiles to himself as he remembers what it was like to be a kid. Opens one of the jars on the counter top and grabs a few cookies from it. Pulling out a glass from the transparent oak cabinet, he pours some milk into it from the fridge and gulps the cookies down with, noticing all the gadgets in the room. Returning to the big room, unsure about exploring her home any further without permission. Sinking down into one of the sofas, he unzips his bag and pulls out a laptop, looking for a power outlet...

Wi-Fi, M.

*she grins, standing in the archway, leaning against the side of it, covering a small yawn. Her long red hair is unbrushed and she's still wearing a man's dress shirt that engulfs her because it is way too large for her petite frame. The sleeves are rolled up to her elbows. Her mode of dress isn't because she is entertaining a lover, but because it's simply what she enjoys wearing to sleep in. She isn't use to having visitors so early in the morning.*

Good-Morning. Glad to see someone is making themself at home around here, aside from lovers.

Working on some local documents while waiting for the home owner to awaken and provide the key to the Wi-Fi, he suddenly hears a soft voice and looks up from the screen. The image in front of him brings a smile to his face along with other emotions that he does not want to display yet. He wonders if she had company last night and whether he is being an unwelcome guest, but he brushes aside that doubt once he sees that grin on her face and hears what she says...putting the laptop to one side, he gets up from the sofa...

"Good Morning! I hope you don't mind. I also borrowed some milk and cookies from your kitchen earlier ", he says, approaching her slowly, his eyes taking in her small figure covered in a slightly crumpled dress shirt, "Wi-Fi, yes...I was wondering if I could use it to check my messages"

"Of course. This is a different sort of house than you're probably use to, M. it doesn't follow the normal rules. You had access to the Wi-Fi the moment you opened your laptop. Please, feel free to help yourself to anything in the house. I need a cup of coffee however, " she smiled up at him before launching herself from her leaning position and padded toward the kitchen.

"Care for a cup? Or there's OJ in the frig if you're not attached to caffeine as I am."

She was talking over her shoulder as she made her way to the coffee pot on the counter, opened a cupboard door and paused to see if he followed and wanted a mug or a glass or if he was simply fine as he was.

"Help myself to...anything?" he says, grinning at her, "Alright, if you say so. I just wasn't sure if I am supposed to use the network that showed up in the list. I do now", he smiles, liking the part about not having to follow the normal rules. "You are right about that, I am not a fan of caffeine at all. OJ would be just fine", following her into the kitchen, he is unable to resist checking her out from behind, her long red hair covering most of her back and the shirt bordering down to her knees, where her bare legs come into view...until they both enter the room, he suddenly looks up. He leans back, standing against the counter, just next to her.

"I'm really looking forward to exploring what else lies...inside this house".

"Well," she took down a mug and a crystal cut glass, setting them on the counter before closing the cupboard door, "there's a lot to see around here."

She opened the door to the refrigerator, taking out the pitcher of orange juice and poured him a glass. Setting the pitcher back on the shelf, she withdrew a container of creamer, pouring some into her coffee before setting it, too, back on the shelf and closed the door. She handed him the glass and reached for her cup, idly stirring it.

"There's an entertainment room downstairs. Pool table, large screen tv, stereo system and a fully stocked bar, alcoholic and non. I have a cellar where I store my wines..." she pondered telling him about the room at the far end of the cellar and decided against it. If he went exploring, he'd find it.

"Upstairs is the guest bedrooms, of which, by the way, you're welcome to claim one of you wish. I have an archangel floating around somewhere. I haven 't seen him for awhile," she sipped her coffee, leaning back against the counter beside him, "he was off looking to get laid. I hope he had some luck with that. Anyway, there's the pool and the Labyrinth, if you're feeling adventurous, as well."

"There certainly is", he watched her closely as she took the mug and the glass out of the cabinet and poured some juice in a glass for him, while stirring her own cup of milky caffeine, diverting his gaze elsewhere in the room...

"I think I might just start living here", he grins, after listening to the description of the entertainment room. A hint of doubt in her eyes as she stops mid-sentence while telling him about the wine cellar...he just smiles and takes a sip of the juice, the cool crystal pressed against his lips.

"An archangel looking to get laid? Hmmm...well anyway, I better claim one of the bedrooms before someone else does! Do you mind if I quickly check my messages? Some of them might be urgent! I can bring the laptop into the kitchen..."

She shook her head, "No, go right ahead and feel free to choose any room upstairs you like. The ones that are occupied are embossed with their names on the door. I need to excuse myself from your delightful company, M. I require a shower, a change of clothing and apparently, it seems, the RW is calling my name. I'll return later this afternoon."

Cait gave him another friendly smile and on impulse, stood on tiptoe and kissed his cheek before turning on her toes, taking her mug with her, she headed toward her bedroom, pausing in the doorway and turning back toward him a moment.

"The only time my Study is off limits is if the door is closed and the Master Bedroom is always off limits unless an invitation is issued to join me." She winked, turned and proceeded on her way.

He smiled at her as she pecked his cheek with her lips, "I'll make sure I don't enter those with any names on the door", he said, watching her walk away before halting for a moment and speaking to him. Again, he nodded and grinned at her, "See you later, Cait. Enjoy your shower!", gulped down the remaining juice from his glass, set it down on the counter after rinsing it, and headed to the great room to grab his laptop.

After checking his emails, he wondered which room he should try first. He was actually a bit exhausted due to lack of sleep and his recent hectic schedule and decided to head towards the guest bedrooms to take a nap. Maybe later, he will explore the entertainment room, and the study, if it is not closed that is...

As he climbed the stairs up towards the guest rooms, he couldn't help but think about all that had happened this morning, including Cait pausing earlier before she changed the subject from the wine cellar, and what she said just before leaving for her bedroom, a few minutes ago. He decided to just forget everything and sleep for a while, as the long corridor from upstairs appeared before him...now he had to choose one of the rooms...it seemed like most of them were occupied...or were they?

Waking up from the rather extended nap, he stumbles out of bed, searching for his glasses, grabbing them from the bedside table and walking across the bedroom to the bath, he puts them aside temporarily on the counter, turns on the tap and splashes some cold running water on his face. After wiping with the soft towel, he puts the glasses on and walks towards the bed, naked, and puts his boxers back on, slumping into the bed once again...pondering...what to do next...

Earlier today, he had arrived at the mansion and been greeted by the lovely Cait before she had to leave for the RW. After a quick drink, he had come to this guest bedroom, which was quite luxurious, the painted walls adorned with art, and the floor with a plush carpet. There was a balcony, but the door was locked, and he was only able to open one side of the closet. But he didn't care. All he wanted was to rest. He had gotten it. Plenty of it. After closing the curtains, he had slept like a log for more than four hours. He was ready to explore the rest of the home.

...after thinking for a while, he decides to put his clothes back on, checks his emails, and then walks out, heading downstairs to the entertainment room...and then after that, maybe the study...

...on his way downstairs, he goes to grab something from the kitchen...

She quietly materializes in her study, sitting behind her desk with a sandwich and a bottle of water, quietly munching away and contemplating her post for Fr33k. All is quiet in the house at the moment.

It has been a long morning and hopefully, the RW will settle down and let her relax.

Music... that's what she needs. Reaching for the remote, that will play music only in her study, she hits a button and considering her range in tastes... she feels like listening to this while she writes.

After grabbing a cookie from the kitchen, he had rushed downstairs into the entertainment room, switched on the TV as soon as he saw the remote, and uncovered the large table to shoot some pool, while watching the food network for a while, before switching to come random sitcom.

After about an hour or so, he was bored and decided to leave this room and explore the Study, hoping that it was open...as Cait had mentioned he would not be allowed in there if the door was closed. It had been a while since he had read a good book...and felt that peace and quiet that comes with it, instead of the constant noise pollution generated by the idiot box and other electronic gadgets he had gotten accustomed to.

Worst case scenario, if the study door was closed, he would just read something on his laptop...although it didn't have the same feeling like a book does, when you hold it in your hand.

Of course, the door was open and Cait was banging away at her keyboard. Her friends were constantly teasing her about how hard a touch she had with the keyboard and yet, with everything else, she had the lightest sense of touch, unless of course, she was practicing with weapons, then her touch was much more firm and strong.

By the time M got to her study, she was leaning back in her chair, facing away from the open doorway, one hand pressed to the back of her neck and her head moving in small little circles.

Walking towards the study, he noticed the door was indeed open, bringing a relief to his face. What he wasn't expecting, was to find Cait sitting in there, in addition to some Lady Gaga playing in the background. He didn't mind her being in there at all though, and was quite pleased actually.

"Need some extra fingers?", he spoke in a soft tone, trying not to startle her. He hasn't even laid eyes on any of the material in the room yet, his gaze fixed on her hand that was hidden behind the long red tresses of her hair. He leaned over the desk in front of her and smiled, noticing the slight stress she was experiencing.
