I thought of this show last night at work; no real reason except maybe the Bond flick that was playing in the background at the nurse's station...

Am I the only one that thinks back fondly on it now and again, imagines Napoleon Solo and thinks *ROWR*?? Not one single person at work had remembered hearing about it.

*Mae's random sleep-deprived thought for the day*

Sweet dreams Lit :)

I really did enjoy that show when I was younger, and it had truly catchy theme music! :D

But I wanted to be dashing young superstud Ilia Kiriakin. ;)

Nope, I never lusted after either Napoleaon Solo or Ilya.

I did have serious dreams about The GIRL from U.N.C.L.E. though. (Stephanie Powers(?)

I loved that show. Several years ago Nick at Night ran a Man from UNCLE marathon and I taped many of them. I even read the Man from UNCLE books they had when I was a kid.

While I didn't lust after either of them I thought Ilya was just the absolute coolest guy in the world.

For those who might be interested...

Here is the Fans from UNCLE website:

(For those of you who've never seen the show, Ilya is on the left.)

The amount if info this site has is incredible.

Ilya was played by David McCallum ("The British James Dean")

Napolean Solo was, of course, played by Robert Vaughn ("The American Robert Vaughn"):

I loved this show.

How long do you think it will be before we see the remake that today's kids will think is an original? They are already remaking "I Spy"...

I loved that show. Saw it in reruns as a kid and recently saw one of the movies they made. I loved the theme music.

Yeah Dill, I found that site this morning when I couldn't get it out of my head...cool stuff! I'll have to go browse more when I have time.

I wonder if I could find old episodes for sale? I'll have to research that too, and poke around and see if I can find some of the old books...
