The Lufkin Licker

Yeah.

We have some real winners around here.

Thankfully she is not anywhere near a reasonable example...Black,Brown or White of the type of people here.

This shit fucks me up. Here's another similar true story:

When I was a kid, like 15 or something, I worked at subway. During my time as a sandwich artisan, which lasted a scant few months, because their turnover rate is horrendous, I noticed so many health code violations I kinda got to the point where I would tell people, "Leave. Leave now. You do not want these sandwiches."

And a lot of it was shit like that. People eating shit, licking shit, one dude dropped a bin of onions on the fucking floor and still served them.

I asked my boss, "Hey can I have a pair of gloves?" And he told me to go to hell. He said if I was that worried about it I could go wash my hands. During lunch rush.

Have you EVER seen ANYBODY wash the knives they use to cut those sandwiches? Because during my entire time at subway, which again, lasted about four months, I never once washed a knife.

Also, the dishes we did wash? Never saw a drop of fucking soap. There was this conveyor belt thing, you put the pans in it, because again, that and the tubs were all we ever washed, there wasn't even a place to put the knives, then you rolled it into this big fucking... looked like a heat press, put no soap into it, turned it on, wait like one second, open it, slide the trays out and put them on this rack thing to dry. That's it. That's the entire process.

When you did it with the tubs there would sometimes be food still stuck to them, because of course there would, as there was no actual washing involved, so we were supposed to spray them out with this big fucking, basically fire hose attached to the sink, but it was nasty. The water pressure was so high there was no way to do it without getting fucking soaked, so almost nobody did, we'd just pick the food bits off and set it on the rack. I, being actually concerned about that shit, would sometimes run them through the machine again, but most people didn't.

Anybody I know who has ever worked at any restaurant tells people not to eat at that restaurant.

But the ONE exception to subway is the cookies. Eat all the cookies you want. They come frozen and precut, are placed lovingly in a way that will break as many as possible onto a baking sheet lined with a single-use protectant (unlike the buns which are baked in these reusuable molds that make them bun-shaped) and then immediately put into the little paper sleeves and put in the display case. The cookies are clean. Everything else is nasty.

Also, the reason you try to break them when you bake them is because if they're broken they're considered 'damaged' and are supposed to be thrown away, but are actually eaten by me. The way they're cut and frozen makes them come out perfectly round and if they're not perfectly round we can't sell them, so you just fuck them up and then you get cookies.

Oh, and the coffee machine. I never once saw anybody wash the coffee machine. I've closed before and never saw anyone wash the coffee machine. You brew coffee in the back and once a week they did wash the actual pot, but I'm talking about the thing in the front the customers use. The thermos looking thing. Never saw anybody wash that. You just kept pouring new coffee into it.

That's actually not why I left though. At the time I was in high school and had a lot of extracurriculars and needed a consistent fucking schedule, written down somewhere and my manager just was not gonna do that. He would rather die than tell somebody they had to work more than five minutes before he expected them to be there. Fuck you Tony. You're never gonna get anybody to stay more than a few months, not even a decade later with that new location inside wal-mart. You're a piece of shit and I hope you're reading this. You know me. I'm the goth kid who's login password to the COS you set as "0666" to be a fucking asshole. You only manage those locations because your mommy owns um and everybody fuckin knows it. You're a grown-ass man trying to bully high school kids.

Also I guarangoddamntee he never changed that login, so if you ever wanna rob the subway up by the nail place over where Tractor Supply is, you can open the register with "0666".

Nasty motherfucker with your nasty sammiches.

Oh shit, yeah, I forgot we were supposed to include people's races when we say stuff.

Dude who dropped the onions was white.
Manager who wouldn't let me wear gloves was also white, but more full-on about it.
