I tell myself I do God's work.

My name is Father Joshua. I am forty years old. For thirty of my years I have served the Lord. For the last twelve I have been the sole priest in our little village.

At 6'5" 230 pounds, I am an imposing presence, towering over most of my flock. My head is shaved, as is my face. My eyes are black. Cold, some say.

Our village is poor. Times are hard. People freeze. People starve. More children are born than are needed. These are often abandoned on our doorstep.

I speak of girl children, of course. Sons have value. Girls little or none.

We take them in. We feed them. We cloth them. We teach them the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. They grow up knowing little else.

When they turn eighteen, they are tested. Some become brides of Christ. Some become brides of men.

I perform the test. I have performed it on dozens of girls over the years. Outside my chamber another girl waits.

Pure.

Chaste.

Untouched.

I wear nothing under my robe. I reach down and give my balls a squeeze. I am ready. I open the door and beckon the fair maiden inside....
