I thought it was an amazing movie. Frodo was cool.
The special effects an scenery astounding. I wanted to be able to watch the next one in the series straight away.
Did you see Peter Jackson's small role or was that when you dropped off?

as for the falling asleep its not THAT long (i dont think you'd enjoy the book ) and i thought it was very entertaining all the way through i cant see anyone falling asleep in middle

You know it's funny but I cruised some of the film critics reviews of the flick in hopes I'd find one who didn't like the flick and the net nerds outdid themselves this time. Each reviewer who wouldn't call it the best movie ever got ripped to shit by the fanboys.

I want to see it again and again! I live here in New Zealand and thought it was cool being able to distinguish where some of the film was shot.
Peter Jackson did a great job in this movie.

Try living in Toronto. 90% of movies are filmed here. Doesn't make an overlong, underdeveloped, action packed to the point that it's pointless and quite frankly irritating as hell flick good.

Even with the pretty lights and colours.

Fuck that "individual" crap. I'm going to go watch Lord of the Rings again and again in theatres because I've been told to like it by the critics and fanboys. It has nothing to do with me enjoying the story, action, special effects, and drama of the movie. Oh, hell no.

Star Wars is actually more of a Sci-Fi series with a little Fantasy mixed in. But I agree that not liking LOTR doesn't mean one doesn't like the Fantasy genre in general. Much as I love this movie, it's not for everyone.
