...another crumpled sheet! Not a patch on JRP's excellent effort, in my opinion, but here is my Poseidon of Melos:
You look so good H, that I almost don't want to ask for my bedsheet back.

Funny thing is, I used to have a couple of trident spears.

Woo hoo!! I'd help you rumple that sheet!!
Is that a pool net?![]()
Crumpled sheets are usually a sign of great things.
I think you've executed the Poseidon of Melos very well.
Gorgeous!![]()

So I was wondering, why is Poseidon's toga falling down? Then it hit me: the guy is the sea god, so of course he's wet all the time, and so is the toga. The hand that is out is not for holding his missing trident, but is for summoning some Greek gym attendant to get him a towel. Also, as other Poseidon statues show, he eventually gave up on trying to keep dry and covered, especially when surfing (hope I am not jumping the gun on next week's challenge or otherwise breaking the museum's rules).

use of the pool net in lieu of a trident I give you A+ for creativity and execution, for sexiness that is off the charts....
Ah, it's the kinder, gentler Poseidon, with a net for persuading his subjects rather than a pointy trident. Very nice

I always love seeing what fun interpretations you think of.
Well done.![]()
Look at the sexy glendale. An over acheiver giving us not one but two poses. Too sexy,,,, much too sexy.
Doubles doses of your sexiness can cause hearts to race and blood pressure to rise.
I can always trust you to dream up completely different interpretations of the artwork. Great job.
A fine effort, as always, MrG!
I always like your creative takes on the challenges each week. Very nicely done.
Love your twist on the challenge, Glendale!![]()
Another great piece glendale or I should say pieces! I LOVE that surfer pose, nothing like hanging 11!!!![]()
Ooh, a wet toga. Hell yes. I can write a few Greek letters. Does that qualify me for at least a try-out for the gym attendant position?
Just wanted to say it here too, I like very much.
No, not my behind (for a change). I've fallen behind on supporting JRP's continuing education Art Appreciation class. Sorry, my life got busy. It still is busy but a small group of tenacious and appreciative students got my Apollo cleaned up for display.

Bollocks! Always a bloody American taking a selfie at the worst possible time!
Cheers
