We're working on an Adult eBooks site (adult-ebooks.com) in which you authors with novel-length fiction (no short stories, anthologies, or poetry for now) will be able to offer your work for sale to our readers in eBook format. I've already done the design part of the site, and we have our programmer busy working on the underside, which is complicated. That will be our new bookstore link once we get that up.
Authors with short stories on Lit will have an icon next to the story or in the story or on their profile or SOMEWHERE that will denote that they have eBooks for sale...this should encourage novel authors to contribute free stories for free readers. We'll link from the eBook site to selected short stories written by the author, so that readers can 'sample' before they buy.
The eBooks will be very affordable. The benefits of purchasing an eBook are:
1) You're directly supporting the authors, who will be paid on each sale. (probably half of the profits, a little more if they distribute their eBook exclusively through us, but that's still being figured out as well.)
2) You're getting a banner-free, well formatted, easy to read, easy to print out version of the story. Some stories, if the author chooses to do so, may include artwork or extra chapters you won't find elsewhere. We will probably (with the author's permission) be selling eBook formatted versions of many of the novels we have in our Novel section. These will definitely have extra goodies to make it worthwhile for the reader, and will be an opportunity for you to support the authors of novels you enjoy.
That's the idea anyway. If any author of an erotic novel is interested in this, drop me an email and I'll put you on my Interested Authors list.
