Hey you!If you joined in the 21st Century you're a noob.
She and I enrolled in a Pickleball 4 week class last summer and it was nice socializing with the different people wanting to learn. I didn't think I'd enjoy it but joined only because my wife is way too shy to join by herself.Pickleball is growing steadily here in the UK as well, with loads of women (of all ages) getting involved. It's only a matter of time before the "social opportunities" begin to happen ...
That's an interesting development! Does the group go for a drink together after playing? That's where the fun usually starts, and after a couple of glasses of wine or beer the inhibitions slowly start to disappear ......She and I enrolled in a Pickleball 4 week class last summer and it was nice socializing with the different people wanting to learn. It was nice watching from afar at times the men oggle my wife tbh. I even started looking forward to the class only because I wanted to see the men interacting with her hmmmmm.

enjoy the company of his mum's best friend and probably various family members who'll drop in to visitWhat are you planning to do on Thanksgiving?
Smoking a spatchcocked Turkey. Family will be over to the house. We'll have fun. What are you planning to do on Thanksgiving?
I've advocated dismembering/grilling/smoking for longer than I've been at Lit, but it never occurred to me that spatchcocking could apply to a turkey. Awesome!Smoking a spatchcocked Turkey. Family will be over to the house. We'll have fun.
I haven't kept up with your job situation. Tell me sometime.Working. Not a holiday here.![]()
Yeah, but didn't you beat us to the party by observing thanksgiving/ harvest festival already in your country?Working. Not a holiday here.![]()
Indeed. But I am an American, so it seems weird to have Thanksgiving and then Halloween, which jumps right into Christmas.Yeah, but didn't you beat us to the party by observing thanksgiving/ harvest festival already in your country?
I was with my job for 10 years. My team in Canada and the United States were let go this past Spring.I haven't kept up with your job situation. Tell me sometime.
In that case you should get the day off! Or at least a pumpkin pie.Indeed. But I am an American, so it seems weird to have Thanksgiving and then Halloween, which jumps right into Christmas.
We typically celebrate US Thanksgiving and I cook the meal. This year has been too chaotic, so I am skipping it. Next year! Enjoy your day.In that case you should get the day off! Or at least a pumpkin pie.
Had the lunch, my scratch dressing was a hit. I asked for suggestions about improving the dressing and got "add bacon". Surprisingly enough, it had been a bacon-free meal, so next year I will use the suggestion. Even with the prepared stuff, it was a lot of dishes to time- 2 proteins, 2 starches, 2 cranberry sauces, a vegetable, rolls, gravy, dressing. I could do better or more, but it would become a chore rather than a relaxing day. Probably 5 more people to drop by for pie between meals at their various families.Today I am picking up prepared food from an up-scale grocery chain. That will make most of the feast. We will have some relatives dropping in for lunch, but as is the custom in Cheyenne's family, there's a variable head count. People tend to compare menus. Cheyenne's pies are the big draw.
