The lit old timers thread

Can anyone see this? It's supposed to be a chart of Houston temps this month. https://www.wunderground.com/calendar/us/tx/houston/KHOU

I don't know where they're taking these temps....maybe the middle of the airport with the wind blowing it cooler. My car REGULARLY says its 105, 107, 109. Last night when I came home at 11pm, it was a balmy 91. Almost felt nice. People are praying for rain. I pray my AC holds out. hahahahahaha

No not yet anyway. I've been trying to avoid having to go out. I did, however, just turn "off" my AC by pushing the thermostat up to 80. It's just not making cold air right now and needs a rest. I'll turn it back down before bedtime.

I feel this. My AC has been struggling to keep up. Spent 350 to have a guy come out a ’clean’ it and fix a duct. Now it’s a little better, but still struggles to keep up

Not only will Hillary miss us, but the hurricane currently in the Gulf taking aim right at Texas will go to Corpus and miss Houston completely. No rain expected here. I was hoping though. I see I have an important letter from the water company in my mail today. What do you wanna bet we're being put under restrictions?

I saw you guys are limiting ac usage so I bet high.

They could push cooler temps maybe? Low pressure systems and all.

105 or 106 every day this week. In other news, I managed to get my sprinkler system working again, all by myself. Yet another Bluebie job I have to do now. Last year my engineer son-in-law had to do it for me, but he was aghast at how old-school my system is, and had a hard time with it. (His system is all controlled through his phone). Mine is analog. But I did it! Hopefully it's not too late for the hedges and trees. The grass is so sad.

Ahhhhh no I didn't know that. I figured there was a story on who it was but I didn't care enough to ask. That sounds cold but I can't stand anyone who wears a trump hat.

I have a guy at work that used to wear one. Always keep your belongings secured.
