They are working on a GLBT literotica site.

What say you, literoticans?

:)

Cool.

Could you post the article here? I hadn't subscibed to the newsletter. Shame on me.

Cool.
It sounds cool, but why split the site? I kinda like having it all in one spot. Call me simple. :)

This is kind of my feeling too. I like having the one site where we all happily coexist.

Yes, I like the diversity here....and the harmony.....Kumbya my lord Kumbya.....;)

LOL well I never immagined we'd all be sitting arround the campfire singing Kumbya but if you promise not to run away when I start singing I'm game LOL!

I'll be curious to see what Laurel and Manu have in mind for the new site. I'll hold my judgement of it until then. It could be a good thing, depending on how it is handled and setup. I'm not expecting it to affect the existing forums though, but I could be wrong.

I agree.

I would hope that the Gay Stories section would remain here, and that there would be no problem with the same stories being posted to both.

Most of the feedback I got on my first submission (and yes, the next chapter is on the way soon) was from straight women, so I'd hate to lose that audience!

There's a newsletter? Is it archived anywhere?

I too will be interested to see what they come up with.

Ditto.
Though I am curious.....

I like the set up here personally. I most certainly will visit the other site also if it happens. Possibly it could draw more glbt to it since it would be designed specifically for them.

Will look forward to it though.

Isn't a separate site counter to the whole idea that Homosexuality is jsut one more facet to one's sexuality?

Seems rather counterproductive.

I honestly dont' think there is any intent to separate anyone, but to draw in new folks.

The article, and shame on me for cleaning my mail box, said something about the site being up and ready by the end of the year, hopefully.

On the home page, you can subscribe to the newsletter, I believe.

There weren't a lot of details and I would expect that those posting here who enjoy cross posting to other forums, will remain. Again, it seems a good idea to draw in new readers, writers and posters.

:)

Here is the relevant section from the newsletter:

(Hoping it's cool to post this. If not, let me know and I'll edit it out)

What else? Oh yes, since the last update, we added a GLBT Literotica forum and we are also working on an all gay and all lesbian version of Literotica. This is still a little ways off, but we think it will be ready before the end of the year. This is another one of those projects, like most all of the others, that is coming to fruition because of the suggestions and input from various members of the site. For this, we thank you all. Please keep the suggestions coming!

I have it, on the HIGHEST authority that there is not going to be a separate GLBT Literotica site.

What they have planned is to subcategorize the current all-inclusive categories, so that rather than being a Gay Male Stories category, there will be Gay Male:BDSM, Gay Male:Group, etc. and rather than Lesbian Stories, it will break down as Lesbian:Toys, Lesbian:Loving Couples, etc. But it will all remain right here, on Literotica.

I think that is a great idea, both philosophically, because it actually recognizes us as equals to heterosexuals (Their stories aren't all lumped into one Straight Stories category, are they?) and pragmatically, because it will make it easier for readers to find stories to their liking.

Q, with all due respect to you, you are simply spreading rumor. *

I read the newsletter, that was the ONLY thing that caught my interest. It certainly looked like it was spelling out SITE to me.

IF it ends up being a totally new site, it will detract from this even further, than this forum has, from everywhere else, the people who now call this an exclusive home, has done.

that's just my opinion though, it doesn't count for much.

*I just got a PM, so I'll shut up now.
