I don’t like labels, but being a part of the lesbian community I find that we use them a lot. We use them to categorize each other and stuff. We use words such as butch, soft butch, femme, dyke, diesel dyke, cupcake, lipstick, stone butch, boy girl... Ok what words did I miss?

what's a cupcake

I am a Cupcake! *cackles*

Wait. LOL .... Uh, I'm with Lexie on this one. ;) Although, I want to be a Cupcake. Do I look like one? I wonder if this is a good thing.. *giggles*

Spectral... I'll drop you off at Santorini or something *grins*

Lexie, Maddy... From what I know of the term cupcake it's just another word for femme. I'm not really up on labels anyways lol. I just know what I like in a woman!
But yes Maddy, I am sure you are a 'cupcake' for those who use that label lol.

Cuuuuuppppccaaakkkeee!

Sweet. Can my new nickname be "Cupcake"? LOL! Mmm... chocolate frosting... okay, wait. I am hungry. Better go off to eat dinner. ;)

Hahahaha! Good lord! BAD influences... all of you! ;) I love you guys. *laughs and shakes her head*

You know... As humans we don't seem to really treasure diversity. I was reminded today of an old childrens story "The Trumpet of the Swan" and I got to thinking about how society shuns those that have disabilities or are different. I know a few deaf lesbians, and they have a really hard time of it. First off they are deaf, second they are gay... Many of them are jobless because of this...

In the story there is a swan that is mute, a swan can not find a mate without it's beautiful mating call. It's compensated for of course with a trumpet.

How do we compensate for being different from others with our sexuality? I think we do it by enriching ourselves with art, music, and education.. We become powerful women in our own rites.

Just more of my ramblings
