One of my coworkers (who is a Korean immigrant) asked me today what the largest named number was. I thought it was a googolplex (10 to the googol power, or 10 to the 10 to the 100th) and I explained the concept.

I got curious about this and I started looking it up online. Apparently, Carl Sagan claimed that a googolplex could not be written, as there are so many zeros in a googolplex that it would take up more than the entire space in the universe. That blew my mind.

Is there a thread for newbies here? Forgive my poor English. I'm a 19 year old girl from Borneo and I am attending college. My name is Senyum which means smile. Eveybody in my village says that I have a nice smile, so the nickname grew on me. My people used to be head hunters, but now they are spoiled when oil was discovered a few years ago.
