I come from a family too involved in sports not to watch (Mr Brit former rower, brothers and a few cousins all pro rugby players at some time or another, cousin and brother do triathlons and marathons etc. etc.)! That and being from the host nation, it'd be wrong not to watch a bit!

I'm basically a sports nerd for a living, and I really like the summer sports, but with everything else going on, and being in this ridiculous desert with my ridiculous mother.. it's all conspired against me. But maybe I'll still catch some before it ends!

The sports fan in my family just left the nest and I'm not as involved as I usually am...sad I guess.
