At least an hour of simple strutting, getting them to loosen up so they don't chafe your feet, followed by a test of their fulcrum potential; pressure against a lower back, the juncture of a hip, or a collarbone (subject in seated position) to assure they have enough capacity to create leverage. This would be followed by a shock-absorption and balance test (requiring one to hold a variety of positions while withstanding certain turbulent actions).
