Inspired by the Formal Training thread, if you could develop a kinky curriculum for Dominants and hand out degrees, what courses would be required?

What majors would be available?

What skills would be mastered?


I say any person with a B.S. (Bachelor's in Sadism) needs to be able to

1) Conduct a decent rape scene
2) Twirl some floggers all pretty like
3) Know some basic Shibari
4) Have performed at least one suspension
5) Be decent with a single-tail
6) Administer both sensual and punitive spanking

I say cupping, fireplay and waxplay would make excellent electives, and maybe a minor in online domination and erotic literature for the tech savvy.

I would offer the introductory courses:

Sado 101 --painsluts, masos, punishment, catharsis, orgasms - or "what did I do to deserve this?"

In this seminar participants will learn the differences in applications of pain, theories of pain from a neurological and biological as well as a cultural standpoint. Is suffering transcendant, does it make us better or is it simply a great weekend for a sadomasochistic couple? Also discussed -- clinical Sadists versus BDSM subcultural "sadists", pain/pleasure connections and manipulating the spectrum, pain as punishment only within a disciplinary SM relationship. Final paper will be based off of taped oral interviews with at least 10 masochists, bottoms, subs and slaves.

Sado 103 - practicum (required)
students will pair up and explore the following tracks

impact play - canes tawses rulers paddles cats and multitailed whips - things that go whack - flagellation for out-of-body experience

medical play - bandaging speculums needles TENS units and creating the clinical fantasy realm - medical scenarios from Marathon Man to MASH

humiliation -- sadism encompasses both pain and humiliation. How to negotiate humiliation, deal out humiliation, and find opportunities to humiliate a masochist in the everyday world -- some possible safety considerations and concerns

paired students will plan and run sessions with the provided masochists as a final project

• The kindness to accept failure by their submissive and direct that energy to a reinforcement of how beyond and above all expressions she is more valued.

• The honesty to put himself on the line in her eyes by revealing a personal truths about himself he cannot take pride in.

• The sincerity to extend himself to others in need before himself to prove that great words are nothing without action.

• The strength to know when a firm direction is needed and adhere to that.

• The insight to know when to leave everything to reaffirm his convictions to his submissive when she is confused or troubled.

• The humor to make fun of his own 'Domlyness' in a soft hearted way when he realizes he has step into a shadow of parody.

• The perseverance to know he must control himself and well before he can ever control another with dignity.

• The integrity to be the man that he proports himself to be.

What do the Dom's look like where you're from?

Wouldn't have figured you for the first one to bite. No pun intended.

There's a difference to me between different body types (I actually prefer a larger set) and a person who doesn't take care of their health and appearance. Hence the deliberately over-the-top "slobby" as opposed to a milder term. Not to mention it sounded funny: slobby dom! Slobby dom! See, I'm having more fun already.
