The killing of Andrew Brown

a THUG trying to escape

"family" to get millions

The deputies, who have not been identified, were serving an arrest warrant surrounding felony drug charges at Brown's rental home Wednesday when Brown was fatally shot, according to Pasquotank County Sheriff's Office.

According to a witness, Brown was trying to drive away when the shooting happened.

Fogg said officers from another agency and the local version of a SWAT team were involved because "Mr. Brown was a convicted felon with a history of resisting arrest." The circumstances led police to believe there was a "high risk of danger" according to their training, Fogg said.

Another young man shot while fleeing...it is illegal to shoot folks who are fleeing unless there is a clear danger to the public or police.

I would very much want to see the video evidence of what went down. If he is indeed unarmed and just trying to escape, the badged idiots should pay.

I do believe there is a provision where police can shoot at a fleeing suspect.

Found it: A seminal 1985 Supreme Court case, Tennessee vs. Garner, held that the police may not shoot at a fleeing person unless the officer reasonably believes that the individual poses a significant physical danger to the officer or others in the community.

Let's see how long it takes to get the video released, that in itself can be telling.
