The Isolated Political Blurt Thread

Funniest thing I've seen in a while is Merkel's reaction to trump's assertion that he has German blood.

A sharpie! Really!
It's the inauguration crowd thing all over again.
"If I said it, you can rely on it being factual. Period."
Yeah, alternative facts.

Usually when he does this really silly stuff, he is hiding that he is doing something that will be detrimental to the US. I wonder what he is trying to hide?

North Carolina’s sleazy 9/11 veto override is just the tip of the iceberg: Republicans don’t respect democracy

From Oregon to North Carolina, GOP lawmakers have used every dirty trick they can to seize power and undermine the power Democrats even after they win elections. They have taken Grover Norquist’s goal — to turn the tone in state capitals toward bitterness and partisanship — to heart in a major way.

“Our goal is to inflict pain. It is not enough to win. It has to be a painful, devastating defeat. Like when the king would take his opponent’s head and spike it on a pole for everyone to see,” Norquist infamously said in the National Review. Except for the shock election of Donald Trump to the presidency, however, Republicans haven’t had the best record of winning of late. Based on their behavior while losing, it seems that the revised Republican goal goes beyond pain to utter destruction.

Republicans have lost their party to the Tea-Party/ Freedom Caucus Rethuglicans and must revolt against the zealots!

Thank you for weekends president trump.
A small favour from the chosen one I guess.
I'm surprised he lets us all participate and didn't restrict it to his base support and employees of Fox News.

I see China is continuing to reach out to the small pacific nations.
The Solomon Islands being the latest to come on board.
Just more evidence of China filling the vacumn left by the USA pulling back on aid and support in the region since trump took over. The pacific nations are increasingly looking to China as world leader. I guess that means their vote at the UN now goes China's way as well.
China now teaches a number of pacific island languages in its schools, a fairly strong sign of their commitment to the region.

I hope all you base trump supporters on here are locked and loaded and ready to join the orange chosen one on the barricades when he kicks off his civil war.

I've heard the rallying point is going to be the Gettysburg memorial park in recognition of that other great republican, civil war winner, Abe Lincoln, 2nd best president ever. Trump will deliver a beautiful speech, without prompter, that will have all the best words.

Of course he won't be there in person, (bone spurs prevent him from taking part directly), he'll be tweeting the speech from his HQ in exile, somewhere in a trump luxury residence, golf club, probably in Canada.

Make sure you take few deep state Feds with you as you go!

Feet of shit.

Feet of clay.

Reality-based United States of

America will not wear Fascist boots.

What about those chinese! Can they put on a parade or not!?
I mean... Considering that all those tanks, ICBM', airplanes on trailers etc were probably made of paper mache, cardboard and plastic, it was still very impressive. Even the sidearms the soldiers were carrying were probably carved from soap, I mean... Those Asians are very crafty (in an artistic sense). There's no way any of that can be real especially after the golden chosen one has destroyed their economy the couldn't afford a real parade, not like the one the USA put on on Independence Day. Nah, it was all smoke and mirrors.

That gives Trump an out now. He can resign and say he couldn’t stand the job site conditions.

Or maybe he could do one of his infamous "Only *I* can fix this" pronouncements and then explain he's "Going to find another dozen pussies to grab, but down at the DC Humane Society shelter this time instead." :D

.

"Great and unmatched wisdom".
I laughed and I laughed and I laughed. I'm still laughing.

I've been struggling to find someone/something with the wisdom that would match the chosen one and closest I've got so far is a rock. But I think the Rock has the edge on him.

How lucky you yanks are to have such a multi talented leader. Still laughing.

My heart sank, today, as I read about an attack on a synagogue.
There have been attacks on other sacred sites, too.

:rose:

So, the Kurds weren't at Normandy. Neither were the Turks. But... The Germans were!

The logic of the chosen one, stable genius with great and unmatched wisdom. Us mere mortals shouldn't even try to comprehend it.
