The Isolated Political Blurt Thread

I think a lot of the quick police response now is because now they have to assume that anyone they approach is armed and cocky about their second amendment "rights."

I think that the 'quick police response' is due to police believing that they are "Gods" and over react because they have been conditioned to be afraid of everybody and everything in the aggressive training they get. Cops are apparently trained to shoot anyone who scares them and if they make a mistake, no worries the DA will let them off with a few days of paid leave.

This is not to deny that there are a few armed and dangerous assholes around who may deserve to be shot. However the cops job is to remain in control of his weapon and treat people in a civil manner. It is a tough job, but they sign up for it.

I was not there. I did not get poisoned. I did not get injured.
I was not there, as a hero. I was not there to save someone.
I was not there to watch the planes crash.

I am not a survivor.
I was not injured.
I will not suffer for the rest of my life,
because I cared about the survival of others.

I did not dig at the sites of disaster and tragedy.
I not not look for the bodies of victims.
I did not clear away the signs of horrible events.

I did not lose a loved one from these violent acts.
I did not spend the last few years, helping a loved one live with serious injuries and illness.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blocked the James L. Zadroga 9/11 Health Act

McConnell wanted the US ban on oil exports, ended.
He used the fact that everyone wanted to get the funds to get to the people that needed them.
It was a bipartisan miracle, and it was a struggle to get all parties to agree.
McConnell lied, when he promised he would not pull a stunt like this.

McConnell took the first responders hostage, and held a knife to first responder's throats, in order to get what he wanted.

I hope that the wind caused the flag to slap his hypocrite face.

It is a Sunday, today.

So should economists, Paul. You're a fraud, buddy.

The Choice 2016 premieres Tuesday, September 27, at 9 p.m. EST/8 p.m. CST on PBS

"The bitter divide in this country makes it incredibly hard for people to understand how others could support the candidate on the opposite side,” says Kirk. “After watching The Choice 2016, no matter where your allegiance lies, you’ll come away with a new and richer understanding of who the opposing candidates are, and how and why he or she has reached this point.”

Not a great review for Literotica....

BY ANNA FITZPATRICK--ELLE
SEP 26, 2016

This is how I generally spend an evening alone in my bedroom:

1. Close the curtains

2. Crank up the Rihanna to drown out any subsequent noises

3. Plug in my Hitachi magic wand

4. Take off my pants (jk they've been off for hours already)

5. Open a new window in Google Incognito

6. Head to Literotica.com, a website for free erotic fiction

7. Browse through the new stories to see if there's anything good

8. Keep browsing

9. Keep browsing

10.Keep browsing

11. Keep browsing

12. Give up, fall asleep.

I've never been into porn. This isn't a political stance so much as a personal one—it just doesn't do it for me. I've always preferred written erotica to get the job done. Luckily for me, the Internet has no shortage of it. Google "sexy stories" and you get 4,930,000 results (there could be even more by the time you read this). When I try narrowing it down to my specific preferences (no, I'm not sharing those, sorry), I get 736,000 results.

Bettina Davis, Larissa Pham and Anna Fitzpatrick had some pertinent thoughts on the matters that connect with Lit.

I enjoyed reading the September 26th article.

So I live in Florida, probably the swingy-est swing state in the country, and I see Trump signs & bumper stickers EVERYWHERE.

On a rare occasion, I'll see a Hillary bumper sticker. I haven't seen a yard sign for her yet, I thought I saw one, but it was actually a "Hillary for Prison" sign.

And yet she's up 46-42 in the latest FL poll I've seen.

Most of the polls heavily sample democrats and residents of urban areas. Trump was down in the polls prior to just about every victory in the primary, this likely won't be any different.

Sure.

On a related note...

I'd love to be a boy toy for some of the delicious looking ladies tweeting #TrapsForTrump

I haven't put up a Hillary sign because Trump supporters tend to be crazy, and I fear for my safety. I'm not even exaggerating.

Mike Pence has drawn attention for his anti-abortion and anti-LGBT stances, including opposition to marriage equality and reproductive rights.

He’s also in favor of no-amnesty immigration reform.

Kaine, on the other hand, supports access to abortion (despite his personal religious beliefs), and once delivered a speech on immigration to the Senate entirely in Spanish, to show respect for Spanish-speaking immigrants.

Both issues are playing significant roles in the 2016 election, making the debate the perfect opportunity for them to go head-to-head.

"You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever."

- Donald Trump

There is always a lower level, for the Republican politicians to sink to.

They have been demonstrating how little they care, for years.
They may wave the flag, and cause a clamor over unconcerned they are.
They really do not care about our country, at all.

If you want to avoid wafts of stench from Trump, avoid the Scion chain of hotels.

The company is weary of cleaning the exteriors of building with Trump's name on them.

"Trump's newest hotel line won't bear his name at all: The Trump Organization has dropped the name completely, going for Scion, which means "descendant of a notable family," the company's news release explained."

Did they buy the name brand from Toyota ?

(I saw the cars on the streets of Boston.)

Guests avoided the hotels before the Pussygate scandal broke.

Trump and his court cases

Trump does not pay taxes ?

The taxes in dispute are not typical real estate taxes, since the federal government remains the owner of the Old Post Office property and pays no taxes on federally owned land and buildings. In 2000, the city created a new "possessory interest" tax to capture revenue from private companies leasing space on government property that is otherwise tax exempt.

Of a matter of course, Trump told lies about the D.C. hotel.

Trump International Hotel in D.C. plummeted below $500 while practically every other five-star property was sold out for the International Monetary Fund conference.

When the government inked a 60-year, $200 million lease with Trump in 2012, rival hoteliers took the unusual step of warning Uncle Sam that the deal could turn into yet another Trump business failure.

Why do I have "Springtime for Hitler," as an earworm ?

The plot of "The Producers" featured a scam.

"a producer could make a lot more money with a flop than a hit by overselling shares in the production, because no one will audit the books of a play presumed to have lost money."

Donald Trump, king of flops.

Trump walked away with millions of dollars in personal profit, from each flop.
