between the heat, an allergic reaction giving me half a fat lip and chipmunk cheek, and the hiatus hernia deciding today would be a great day to be a pain, today's been ... interesting. the antihistamines did the job for 4 hours but knocked me out for 3 of those, and the hamburgers and fries were great. going down.

Yes, coarse yellow cornmeal, then overnight uncovered in the refrigerator, sliced the next day and separated into ziplock bags for the freezer, very convenient. There are only two and a half bags left from our first try, didn't want to run out.

I actually made it to Dayton, and the hotel. After some good times at Wright-Patt, where I'll be returning tomorrow.

Spent sometime in Dayton as a kid. Dad was attending the NCR school there. They even had a trailer park for employees to live in while there. Even from England dad went their for training every couple of years for 2-3 months. Took the family one year so we could go camping in Tennessee. Went to Yank school for a month. Made a buddy from Texas. Probably still had my accent back then. Don't recall noticing his.
