The "news" has become so sensationalistic that it has driven people to respond with either angst or apathy.

The "infotainment" programs are everywhere today. Even outside the US , we're beginning to find good, factual reporting hard to find.

Luckily the CBC and BBC aren't total slaves to the "Faux N00z" and CNN genre.

Sad, really. I used to keep up with things in the US via CBS. All of their credible folks seem to have retired... same goes for PBS.

Of course, MacNeill, Safer and a bunch of other top newsies are Canadians.
