Yes it's a tagine recipe. But can be made in a pan

I love North African and middle eastern food, it's very happy food for me. It also has memories of a lot of Middle Ages recipes I read from europe.

Couscous, with cinnamon, cumin, and orange, and Chakchouka with lamb or goat are in delicious rotation, in this house.

Figs, yummy, yummy figs, also feature prominently in the cuisine of that region, and we have a few recipes we use when the fig season is here.

Ooohhh I love fresh figs, but they are very hard to find here.
When we do, we buy as many as possible.
I'm hoping we'll find some in CA in August.

Thermal shorts are sold, I sometimes used to wear them. I wear three quarter length mostly now, long enough to tuck into long boots short enough to wear under long summer dresses With bare lower legs and girl shoes. On dsys I am not quite sure days I'll be warm enough without.
