It is early, but being able to actually watch a players at bats makes me think a lot more about adding/dropping them as opposed to just seeing the stats in a spreadsheet.

Woke up stupidly early, looked out the window, see the cat is sleeping on the dog's grave. She's gone by the time I get up. People say cats have no loyalty.

I lost my wee dog a few years ago. She was like my daughter.
But my circumstances were different.
On one hand it was a sudden death which was far better than what you guys went through. But on the other hand, my grief was laced with a lot of guilt, because in hindsight I felt that maybe I missed some warning signs.
Strangely, the most comforting thing that someone -my mom- said to me and eased my guilt a bit was: "But the truth is, they all live short lives unfortunately."

Your dog was so lucky to be taken out of that environment and have you instead. Plus their sense of time is so much different than ours.

I spent a couple of days bursting into tears and otherwise wallowing, but she didn't suffer. the vets were awesome, we had plenty of time for treats and goodbyes, the meds made her really happy.

suzycat slept in my room last night.
