The local average through an agency is roughly twice minimum wage, and agencies prefer them to work in teams of two or three ( depending on size of house/ hours) so if you'd have one person for two hours you get two for an hour. It seems much more sensible for them, safer than going into homes alone. And it means that there are people in your home for less time. When I was off my feet more we had a service in sometimes. TBH, I wouldn't mind it twice a year for a half day F the end of spring cleaning for the last clean through and tidy up and the same in say , early December.

I find it's less great for things like cleaning skirting boards and deep cleaning, but for the sort of 'hey it looks smart' clean a service helps keep you on your toes too. Or , depending on the type of home you have, buys you back hours in the week: and they work fast and well , the good ones. If you have the money it's a really ethical wY of trickle down economics, transfer of wealth. It's a very ethical choice really. I just have the time and ability now to do more.

All the services I've seen around here are in teams. No idea how long it takes them for an average house or even what they do or don't do. Just noticed that prices have gone down quite a bit over the years. Not a rich persons thing anymore.

Sometimes I wonder why many of my friends have cleaning services. Perhaps they are so busy out doing stuff they cannot keep their domiciles clean.

Simple. She needs money and has time. I need time and have money.

And I'm lazy, too.

Years ago when 4 of us guys shared a house we had an older Polish lady come in once a week. Cost us 35$ back in mid 80s. Once a year did the windows instead of usual cleaning. We gave her the Christmas week off but still paid her. Did a good job. We never had any complaints. She did 2-3 places a day 5 days a week. All cash jobs. Not a bad under the table income for her.

his way with an apostrophe would bring a tear to most eyes *gets out red pen*. so much so it's easier if he refrains from using them - quicker for me, too :D

but, man, what an imagination, and how he can spin a tale  most people can manage apostrophes - few will ever possess the storytelling skills that seem to come as naturally to him as breathing . it was so exciting getting to read the first proof of the new chapter and has left me eager for the next installment.

Whomever decided to start adding, "Top or bottom" notification on fitted sheets is brilliant.

Why would you have potatoes and rice? Are you carb loading? I carb load before marathons. They're movie marathons but they still count as an exercise to me. Yeah, I'm exercising my eyes.

I have problems with commas.
The fuckers.
semi colons are mean little bastards too; am I right?

Carrot-ginger soup and yogurt for dessert. I'm getting VERY tired of a "no-chew" diet. :(
Artisan pizza for supper, very chewy, hydraulic diet for the rest of the evening to keep you company, big pot of mixed greens on the stove for tomorrow, very easy to eat by then

Well, that and it costs a little under four bucks for a dinner, takes five minutes to make, and has a wonderful flavor profile.

And one puts everything over rice.

The same thought crossed my mind. I admire anyone who can achieve a mud run. They're tough.

The other mud tuns.. Just plain fun. :)

This was the fun one. My cousin and his son raced their mudders, his son beat him but he had a little after market boost going for him if ya know what I mean...

Are you doing a mud run, or just being a redneck, getting trashed and yelling?

I do mud runs (only 5k's) and bubble and color runs too. I missed out on the trampoline run this year and was pretty bummed I did not hear about it until it was already going on!

I had a groupon for half off the Bubble Run close to us this summer and it's during the time we will be out of town! I was so disappointed. It looks fun.

It's a blast!! And all the runs are for various good causes... even the redneck mud runs today were to benefit the humane society.
