It is definitely summer.

Humidity: 91%
Temperature forecast: 90° (32°C)

I think I'll go for a run.

Patriotic (looking) breakfast of organic blueberries & strawberries with non-fat plain Fage yogurt. Just like our forefathers would have eaten!

It's not forecasted to get above 75 for the next 10 days. Night time lows in the 50s

West-by-god.

You do realize that your state has still not reimbursed The Commonwealth of Virginia for public improvements and infrastructure expenditures made prior to secession?
;) ;)

...not sure I want to ask.

I'm not even sure what type of animal they were. Two fat, black babies with pink feet. I knew it wasn't gong to be good when I saw Belew tentatively inching up to the pond. That makes four floating corpses in the last week or so.

Hazy, hot and humid. I would like a good thunderstorm, we have yet to have one this year.

We are due to get more tonight. The weather has been gorgeous for the last week. It's going to heat up a little, but stay out of the nineties, thankfully.

Absolutely perfect cottage weather.

75-80f, light breezes, sunny with the occasional fluffy cloud.

Lake is around 65-70f, more trout than I've seen in years.

More dragonflies, too...I wonder if they're thriving with the bats having disappeared.

A very good summer shaping up!

With the detail given in that description, they could be anything from bears floating "paws up" to a bunch of dead field mice.

True. :D

They were a couple of inches long, no tails.

By 'pond' I mean a small water feature in the garden.

I put a trap out for a big racoon.
A heavy trap with cat food in it.
An hour later, the trap was gone.
I searched everywhere within a hundred yard radius.
The fukker stole my trap.

My legs are tired from biking and hiking. My arms are tired from kayaking.
What a wonderful long weekend we had.
Good food, good spirits and good company. :rose:

He either carried it away, or got stuck in it, stood up and walked away wearing it.
But he was back the next night wreaking havoc and all I could do was watch.
That was a fifty dollar trap.

I dig 'coons.

Damn things are smarter than a lot of humans.

Pretty sure raccoons will rule the world eventually. Look at those hands they have!
