Life seems a bit flat these days. I am pushing forward as best I can but in many ways I just don't feel strongly about much. I am letting go of a lot of things in this move. Even as I slowly unpack, I am jettisoning things.

The spark comes and goes and instead of my usual whirlwind I am almost normal or so I am told.

Maybe when I get enough sleep. Maybe it's the antihistamines, the new pain, the waiting on test results. Not being able to depend on my body is scary esp. if I am driving.
Things I laughed away or took in stride are just not the same without him.

I have a 10 day deadline, I am forcing myself to deal with it. The day after that I have a party that is 8 months in the planning, I have no idea where my costume is or even my check book or my winter coat. I do know where my slicers/yaktrax are though.

Actually, I use slicers. Never heard of Icebug shoes. I only have to deal with ice occasionally and during ice storms, usually it's a mix. I do in Yaktrax.

I lived in Connecticut in about 1973 74 something like that. Ice storms all the time. The bus could not make it up the hill to my neighborhood a lot of times so we had snow days which were technically ice days.

Its funny, but I don't remember anyone having any special foot gear and it would have made a lot of sense.
