Last night’s driver was Bulgarian. I’ve had Croatian, Serbian, Russian, and now Bulgarian limo drivers. Even when I just need to give myself a rest on the ride home from the airport I can’t help asking questions. People are fascinating.

Over the course of 2018, I've bicycled 1,771.3 miles, run 341.0 miles and swum 9,650 yards.


My English expatriate friend is out there virtually every weekday (in shorts regardless of the weather or temperature, mind you). The guy rode 10,000 miles in 2017.

He's amazing. He starts off in the dark (especially during the winter) and I'll see him in the morning as he's headed home in the opposite direction. Snow, ice, mud or rain don't seem to bother him.
