Summer is flying by. Summer is so sweet. I sure could get used to nine or more months of summer every year. I love being outdoors without having to worry about being cold. 'tis loverly to head out to swim or bike or run or play tennis or be on the water with little forethought (though it's time for a new pair of sea boots).


Last night, as usual, all the windows were wide open. The cicadas crooned their lullaby. At 0415, a fox started barking. Were I sleeping in the open, it might have been mildly alarming (I remember being a bit worried by the sound atop South Mountain, lo those many years ago).
