The Isolated Blurt Thread VII: 7th Heaven

That's very, very kind of you to say, Rob. I genuinely appreciate that.

The steroids are in the form of spinal epidurals...my 7th in 9 months. They really are doing damage, and this is the 3rd or 4th time I've sworn I wouldn't cave and have another one, no matter how bad the pain.

And see...all Debbie Downer crap from me. I'm allowing myself the rest of the day to browse the GB, and say a few goodbyes, and then I'm shutting it down until I can come back all fluffy and shiny and stuff.

Have a great day, Rob. :rose:

Email!

I always knew it was! This brand is particularly good - the pistachio to ice cream ratio is perfect.

 Zyrtec Zyrtec Zyrtec! :D :rose: Seriously though, that sucks. Hope they fade soon.

I haven't had any hives at all for a few months. Then yesterday I had a cafe latte - my first coffee in a while. This morning I woke up with hives on my cheek and shoulders. So it's settled - no more coffee for me. :( Sucks, but at least tea's still okay.

Zyrtec is my second love. It allows me to function in the summer.

I've been reading political posts in Morgan Freeman's voice. It's pretty fucking entertaining. Like performance art.

I need more Litsters to come to Minneapolis.

BRB hopping on the Megabus.

My head feels concave. Throbbing and suctioned. It's the oddest feeling, and I hate it.

I can feel the steroids hurting my body, but am at a total loss for any other way to ease the pain. I honestly don't know how much more I can take. If I didn't have so much love in my life...

And at the heart of it, this is why I felt it necessary to take a break from Lit. Trying so hard not to burden my friends and family, this place is somewhere to drop the negativity and pain and frustration and fear, but I don't want to be that person who never has anything good to share. Best to stick to the occasional lurk.

I hope things turn around for you. :(

What exactly is the “women running from houses” genre? I’m glad you asked. It refers to Gothic romance novels (generally paperback) which WITHOUT EXCEPTION pictured a woman running from a house on the cover. It’s really a bit insane when you think about it: for several decades an entire genre (a quite popular one at that) featured the exact same cover with very little variation. It’s mental.

So this just happened.

I got an email from one of my coworkers (she got promoted to an exec level and I moved her to the new desk today) and she sent me a picture of what she found in the new desk.

It was the cremated remains of somebody.

Still had the sticker from the funeral home on it.

Which begs the question.

Who brings the ashes of a loved one to work, but if you are that type of person, why would you leave them behind when you leave?

five thousand pleas

I haven't had one naked sunbathing option at all this year, oh I wish to feel the sun on my nethers.

That's terrible and fascinating.

  • "Wild hoor"
  • "Bleedin' Numpty"
  • "Sun-kissed Nethers"
This place can really wax poetic from time to time

I'd like to pop my ear drums out of my ears, clean them out, kill the infection with fire and pop them back in.

Barring that, some pistachio ice cream would be amazing.

:rose: Farrah, this place should be your outlet.

My puppy has a toy box. During playtime, he likes to pick a toy, take it somewhere, leave it there, then go back and pick up another toy, take it somewhere else, leave it there. Repeat until there are about 6 different toys in various locations.

When I come over to pick up any particular toy, he will immediately sprint over and take it from me and play with it VERY INTENTLY like its his MOST FAVORITE TOY IN THE WORLD.

Until I go touch another toy, and then that one is his MOST FAVORITE TOY IN THE WORLD.

However, I did observe him actually putting a toy BACK in the box earlier. That was neat.
