Dayum. I'm very proud of myself.


The utility bill arrived today. Notwithstanding the fact that (according to the utility company) the average temperature for the month was seven degrees (7° F) colder in 2014 than in 2013, the bill was DOWN.

According to the bill, I used both fewer Kwhs and Therms this year.

Turning the thermostat down and bundling up made a difference.

homemade cat repellant has been sprayed under the beds. damn cats have taken to shitting under there. i'm pretty sure it's simply out of spite. one whiff and they're hanging out in the living room with me. :cool:

Could someone please explain this to me ?

I bought half as much (basic groceries, like almond milk, bread, sunflower oil, fruit, veggies, polenta, sunflower seeds)
and I had to pay, as if I had bought everything that I had wanted. Everything is suddenly costing twice as much ? WTF ?

And, it was not at Whole Paycheck- It was at a blue collar supermarket. I shopped last week, and the prices were normal.
 
No, by all means, sit there and put away an entire box of donuts. Think you're depressed and miserable now? Wait until the diabetes leaves you blind, limp-dicked and missing both your feet.
 
in a one quart spray bottle add 20 drops lemon, orange or tangerine essential oil plus 20 drops eucalyptus oil. fill with water. shake and spray. eucalyptus oil is toxic to cats in its concentrated form, but is not harmful when it's diluted. just keep the essential oil away from prying paws. they really hate the smell. it was pretty darn amazing.
 
I have plenty of essential oils- I used so much this summer, trying to keep the bugs away. (What helped, was a portable fan.) kitties think that my bushes are a message center.

Trust is a very important thing, probably more important than anything else between people. If one loses trust in another, everything else no longer matters, as everything becomes suspect.

It's strange because people give others the benefit of the doubt so easily, the status quo being that another can be trusted unless there is a reason otherwise. Once trust is lost, it is much harder to rebuild, even though before it was given freely without concern.

Betrayal is so damaging to both the person betray and often to those in their future. Perhaps it is even damaging to the one who betrays because they must live with themselves somehow and accept their lack of integrity.

Very true. I tried to explain this just recently, but I don't think my point of view was understood.
