I don't think anyone really takes into account the fact that some people are suffering from deep depression and other issues, come here for release, to find friends, and to try and forget the real world, but the tiniest remark from someone can put them in that suicidal frame of mind.

What Marquis said wasn't necessarily rude, and most likely just joking around, but in witcha's mind, because that sort of thing is something she knows, to her mind it was something intentional.

So please, don't post things about "cry me a river, build a bridge, and get over it" without thinking of the possibilities or repercussions for others.

I'm not sure what major revelation you think these comments are. It is patently obvious that Witcha is an extremely sensitive person with serious issues.

However, having been through shit that you would not FUCKING believe if I told you and having been very close to suicide myself, I will tell you that continually protecting and coddling someone can prevent them from facing the reality of their problem. It reinforces the idea that YOU don't have to make self adjustments to deal with your issues, that OTHERS will adjust for you. Anyone who's taken the training wheels off of their bike knows that this is not true. The people you love will run with you for as long as they can, but eventually, if you cannot peddle, you will fall.

I offered Witcha an opportunity to discuss this with me in private and she rejected it. That is within her rights and I don't blame her for it. I would still be more than happy to talk or listen to Witcha, because I know what it feels like to think that people are malevolent. That is a choice I make based on my own feelings of empathy.

However, what I will not allow is for me or anyone I care about to be condescended for not spending our emotional energy on someone we don't know. Did you send Netzach flowers when she was in the hospital earlier this year? She certainly made it known that she was sick, but she didn't ask for handouts from anyone, and I doubt she would've wanted it if it was anything less than genuine.

So please, don't lecture anyone for not holding back our true opinions on a public forum. Trust me, we are.

Take the last word if you want it. You will not hear any more from either Killishandra or I on this issue in this thread.
