LMAO - we're doing BBQed turkey. My idea. I hope it works. If not, I may never be consulted for menu ideas again.

Not sure what you mean by "BBQ'd turkey," but I cook minein the grill every year. The biggest challenge is to regulate the heat so the temperature is low enough for roasting. It turns out as well as when we use the oven and saves the oven for other dishes.

Turkey, cooked with BBQ seasonings (rub) and then basted with BBQ sauce during the second half of the cooking process (as I understand it - I'm not the chef here).

Nah. I don't mind being asked for ideas, as long as I can (honestly) say, "I don't have a clue" and not get harassed for it.

Well, to start, you'd probably need to be closer than the ~1550 road miles from the center of NC to our house... 26 hours (each way) is a long freakin' drive for one BBQ turkey dinner (which turned out *great,* by the way!).

And yeah, I've been around NC, SC, GA, TN a good share of my adult life. When you say BBQ, their first thought is pork. Mention any other meat and you get a kind of confused look for the first second or so, and then they remember that other things can be BBQed, too.

"Barbecue" (the noun) is pork roast. Anything else uses "barbecued" as the adjective. Barbecued ribs, barbecued chicken, etc.

This morning I lay in bed a little while after waking, fearful that the room woulld fill with a gigantic sloshing sound as the last of Thanksgiving dinner was roiled into motion if I moved to roll out of bed. Then I had a bowl of Indian Pudding for breakfast with vanilla ice cream. Incorrigible, I know.

The uphill battle with some very important people is now on hold until Monday. The wlan already beat me into oblivion yesterday, so this time I shall not be defeted, dammit!

I don't understand why when I'm so tired that I'm impatient and cranky...which isn't my usual way...that when I can sleep in on Saturday, I wake up at 6. Yes I know I have to work this weekend buti I can work on my own schedule.

So glad I'm taking a short holiday soon. I need it to rejuvenate. Will be fun to explore some place new.

On top of that, I had the shouting incident on Monday.

And through all this, I must continue to market and to project all that is positive.
