Found out today that my cell phone provider has been overcharging us for Cod knows how long now. Essentially, they have been charging us for every single minute we use and not subtracting the minutes in our plan!!!

Conveniently, the company says it can only reimburse disputed charges up to 90 days from the current bill. So they reimbursed us $211 for three months. Now, I'm no math whiz, but if that's how much they soaked us for three months, then over the past two years...? We have been royally boned.

And when we asked to get let out of our contract? Nope. That will be $500 thankyouverymuch.

Must be nice to make all the rules in your favour.

I went after this company with a vengeance. I wrote to the Office of the President, I found a cell phone provider forum and vented my ire, I made it clear that if my problem was not solved I would make this fight (and their shameful behaviour) very public.

Guess what? Got a call from 'on high' today. VERY apologetic. They gave me everything I demanded and extra. With generous helpings of humility.

Stick to your guns. Don't back down from the big guys - that's what they want.

I think your sentiments are also true in a certain political campaign, where certain candidates have stealth billionaires writing anonymous $10 million checks to PACs , to buy a certain office that should not be available for purchase. All you can do is not let that stand unquestioned, where you live.
