The intense love and hatred for cuckold stories in LW

I've written a few stories in the LW category. Most of my stories in any category are about a woman becoming a slut. In LW my stories are usually about a husband sharing his wife.

These stories have a group of people who just hate them. They jump in and rate them 1* and leave pretty nasty comments. Most of these stories have eventually risen to over 4* so I'm happy with them.

I admit I just wrote a true cuckold series just because it was fun to see how upset people get. People get truly virulent about these stories.

I find it interesting that people believe once a woman has sex with another man the relationship is over. I know lots of long term couples who add another man to their bed at times. They are perfectly happy, loving, and respectful to each other.

The question often arises why would a man stay in a true cuckold relationship. There are many reasons people stay in relationships. Even bad ones.

I guess my question is, do you see this level of hatred in other topics and if so, which ones.

I've come to think Cuckold is some form of submissive who to some degree or another craves the humiliation or feels he deserves it.

And in all of them, no matter how they may try to deny it, there is arousal that the wife is having sex with another man.

The hate there does not come from cucks, the hate comes from men who had a wife who cheated or a bad marriage in general and are looking for reasons to hate women and release an anger that still lingers years/decades later, because they can't grow up and move on.

I buy the birth order theory. People tend to pair with birth order equals or opposites.

I'm the eldest son and child of a litter made of 2 boys and 5 girls. My wife is the youngest of 6 kids. I hafta be alert because she generally defers to me, even when the issue is almost irrelevant and inconsequential. Being in charge causes too much anxiety for her.

I'm attracted to the oldest female children, and that's always a disaster because I'm not submissive. I'm dominant. Birth order middlers do well, but not top or bottom equals.

Where cuckolding happens I suspect the marriage pair is a submissive female and a submissive male where the female acts dominant.

Cuckold has no appeal to me but 45 years ago I was involved with a prostitute who had sex a few times every day. Before we got together, I was curious why she wanted a steady boyfriend.

What she told me was this: The 15 minutes of sex isn't fun, its work. The fun takes a lot more time. There's dinner out and a movie and maybe dancing followed by a night of unhurried sex.

I've had make friends who wanted me to sleep with their wives. Plenty of guys like to watch their wives.

Hi Imstillfun,

The same themes, cheating and cuckold, receive hatred in interracial. If you really want to rile the Anon critics then add some colour to the bull. That is sure to sharpen the threats even further.

There are a lot of angry over fifties white males that haunt LV and IR. They love stories where a whiter than white hero ditches his cheating wife leaving her penniless, begging for forgiveness and her lover dead or at least injured. Of course the hero also rides off into the sunset with his saddlebags full of money. With a sassy blonde who is younger, more beautiful and completely hooked on him. The classic middle/old aged man's fairy tale.

As well as antagonizing them it can be fun to see whether you can slip one past them. I wrote a story in LW (The Big C) where a loving wife sleeps with a friend while her husband is on his death bed. It got positive comments from people who had trashed some of my other stories.

I read the first two parts of your latest story. I had no problems with the cuckolding because your sex scenes were hot. I didn't read the last two because I was uncomfortable with the children angle. I chose not to read them, what gets me is when you write a story with obvious cheating themes and they, the Anon haters, still read it.

Anyway I guess you have to live and let live, even if they can't.

Cheers

Charlie

Yeah, I don't know how many LW stories I have written just to piss off one faction or another in the LW category. Every comment calling me names or wishing I was dead or would suffer a long lingering death from AIDs, I just laughed at.

Now, I don't accept comments or votes on my LW stories and I know it just pisses them all off. They take time to read what kind of LW story it is, then go the last page to leave a comment and drop a 1 bomb and HA! they can't.

:D:devil::cool:

My life and work desensitized me to many horrors.

The bottom line is, somewhere along the way we must hide from life or get over our revulsion.

Only 3 of my submissions are below 4.5 and 2 of them are in Loving Wives. It's two chapters in the same story. And, just to show how right you are, the way it went down was blatant.

My story had about 140 votes the day it opened and was chugging along at about 4.80. The very first vote was a 1 and after that is was mostly 5s. The guy who sent the 1 also sent me a msg explaining that he did it because I failed to label my story as Chapter 1 in a multi-part series.

So anyway, at about 10pm, my story goes from 4.8 to 3.9 in about 10 minutes and with only about 15 votes.

That night, it got bombed a few more times while I slept. My story cratered at about 3.70. After that it made a steady climb to 4.19, where it is now.

I get hate votes in all categories, but there is nothing like Loving Wives. You see it in the feedback as well. Got e-mails calling me all sorts of stuff. It's as if, in their minds, they think they are doing the right thing by shaming me. The thing is, I can't help but notice that most of them read the story word for word. Perhaps the shaming is nothing more than them trying balance out their personal shame for having enjoyed the story.

Anyway, I am done posting there. I'm not in this to upset people. Much more interested in doing the opposite.

I've only posted to three categories so I don't know how many of them will work. I can say that if you post something to Romance that doesn't fit their formula then their reaction can be very strong.

I did that and later had the offending story removed. The votes came in slowly enough that I was able to figure out that I was getting a roughly equal number of 5's and 1's and very little in between. The Romance readers are more civilized than the LW readers, so despite the division I got very few comments and nothing nasty.

When I get those comments or read them in another LW story, I immediately think of the "She's a witch" scene in Monty Python's Holy Grail.

A good outlet for them if that's what they need.

Watching scores.

When I started I did not pay attention to scores. If 1/2 the people like my story, that's great. I now find them interesting. Every score goes up over time. Each time I wrote a new story, scores for old stories go up.

There is a core group in LW who must have 20 logins and just go around bombing stories. They can get them down below 4.50 but the scores usually come back in a week. About 1/2 of mine are 4.5 or better. The rest above 4.0 except for the last 2 chapters of my cuckold story. Like the first 2 chapters they steadily rise.

Used to let all comments ride. They entertain me. Now, if 2 people start flaming each other, I delete them as they bore me.

Group is not as bad as LW but still has its haters. I have one story in EC but it scored low got very few reads / votes and very few comments. It did still get a flame comment that made it obvious the reader had followed me to EC just to flame me. Why post a story if hardly anyone is going to read it?

That's one of the reasons I like LW and Group. Both categories get lots of reads. I don't do Incest or GM because neither kink does anything for me. If you knew my family you'd know why incest is a REAL turn off for me. (Imagine Ursula raising Cinderella's step-sisters :D)

Why post a story if hardly anyone is going to read it?

I think the problem in EC is that it's the "catch all" category. There are a huge number of posts, but not that many devoted readers. I've watched; if you set up the title and short description well then you can get thousands of views/hour in EC.

My first post to Lit went to EC. I was thrilled to have something like 2000 views by the time I woke in the morning that it posted, then watched it get hundreds of view every few minutes. I liked all that.

I guess my question is, do you see this level of hatred in other topics and if so, which ones.

I've never gotten hate on my stories, and I commonly dabble in unethical seductions in my writing. I've only seen hate here in AH.

But if you're dealing with people whose marriages have gone wrong, and in LW you likely are, you could probably say "good morning" and have someone scream at you about how it's still dark where they are, and what do you know about it anyway? A lot of people get divorces and generally it's not happy circumstances that cause them. Just because they visit a website looking for salt for their wounds, doesn't mean you'll get thank you notes.

That said, I would expect incest, noncon, and some fetish play to get harsher comments than, say, fantasy, scifi or romance. I say I'd expect that; but my experience has been otherwise in noncon at least. Nicest fans ever.

I have no idea why anyone would write LW or even why the category has a following, but there is a lot I don't understand here that's like that, and I try not to think about it too hard.

Edit: Hm, I have a theory. Incest, noncon, gay... people either look for it explicitly or strenuously avoid it. Haters self-select away from those topics; it's "not for them". But Loving Wives touches on marriage, which is an experience a lot of people have had and feel qualified to opine on. It's both volatile and magnetic.

Categories.

I've got 2 EC stories. They did OK. 12-18K views. Both iver 4.5. But I use that for 1/1 romances.

I guess LW is just contentious and I should enjoy it.

And I've had people follow me from category to category and leave nasty comments. Amazes me they have the time.

I agree that those really upset in LW probably had a bad or never had arelationship and are taking it out on the category.

While youre at it explain why MURDER is so popular with readers. I'm here to say real killing is no fun at all. It doesn't grow on you. Yet its almost as popular as romance. I suspect most of us wanna murder and cheat. Murder and cheating is what war's for.
