I had an interesting thought yesterday after my newest story had some initial success.

I was waiting for the '1' bomb/s to stamp my story with troll approval... sort of a 'how good could it be if it's not worth a troll pass?'

Amusing to say the least.

Sincerely,
ElSol

Yeah, that's kinda the final approval thing, isn't it? Although I think your "weird or pretentious" comment is still my favorite.

I still love the one about me being illiterate. That was hilarious.
It's when your readers start sending you pissy, impatient e-mails like "What, are you on leave or something?" that you know you're getting somewhere.

Never gotten a single piece... it is actually rather depressing.

How can I consider myself 'great' without being hated

*sigh*

I guess at the end of the day that might be the problem, the haters might just be smart enough to recognize that the worst thing they can do to me is ignore.

I've had the outline for my blog entry for the 'Wall of Hate' ready since I first heard someone actually wasted their time by sending the stuff out.

Sincerely,
ElSol

I'm pretty sure I've got someone with it in for me.
Every time they go through and clean up the records and the 1-bombs, my stories go up, particularly on the f/f charts. Within 2 days, they've been bombed back down again.

Sigh.

Can someone point me to thread that had Lauren's 'weird or illiterate' comment... sounds right up my alley.

Sincerely,
ElSol

Only have one like that - my 'Kajira' story, which because I used author John Norman's 'Gor' universe ended up in 'Celebrities', although my own choice would have been Science-fiction/Fantasy. Whenever Laurel cleans up, along comes my troll. I don't know if it's because s/he doesn't like the story, or is incensed becuse it's in Celebrities and isn't about a celebrity. It would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic. It hasn't had many reads, either, partly because it runs to five Lit pages, I think.

No insult meant, Lauren... but that was fucking funny.

I saw a 'Five for Dinner' or whatever that show is called where five celebrities sit around and bullshit over dinner.

And someone said that the criticisms they hated the MOST were the ones that made them laugh because it's like 'I hate this fucker... but I laughed..."

It's like that comedian says about moms... 'it's hard for them to beat you senseless if they're laughing at what you did'.

sorry :(

Why would I feel insulted? I haven't deleted it because it's so fucking funny.

You should also read the second comment on the second page of comments on my story Letters from Pohjola. It's hilarious. :D

Do you think that with all his tecky new software, Manu could hook up some kind of PC notification, so that when they vote a 1 the notification goes out: “You’ve got Troll!”

You know, weird I could see. I don't think I've met too many poetry writers who take "weird" as an insult. But where percisely did they pull pretentious from? I mean, aside from out their ass. Dictionary says "making usually unjustified or excessive claims" or "making demands on one's skill, ability, or means; ambitious".
When I hear the word pretentious, I think of the church in Warwick that's called "Christ the King". But...I mean...ah, hell, I know if I try to think about that, I'm going to end up with a headache.

I swear to god, it's a damn plague!
I left up a couple of the troll comments on chapter eight of Prince Charming?. One of them says "really stupid story didn't waste my time with it". How could you know a story is stupid if you didn't read it? And why, if you didn't waste your time on it, did you leave a comment on chapter freaking eight!?
Okay, now I am getting a headache...

*LAUGH*
*LAUGH*
*LAUGH*

I don't even know where to begin... I'm not quite sure if the 'fuck u in the ears' is funnier than the 'Top Lists of Stuff I won't Read'...

TOO FUNNY!!!
