I remember when they still called it Kentucy Fried Chicken. Now you only hear KFC.

I remember when marvled until 5 am at the ultimate video game goodness that was Tecmo Bowl for the NES.

I remember when the first titty I ever witnessed on TV was late night , Benny Hill the old guy was always chasing around the young hotties. Those early hard ons I owe to Benny.

Remember when Bubble Yum bubble gum first came out and there was a rumor they had spider's eggs in them.

Tecmo Bowl for the old 8-bit Nintendo.. It was an NFL.. one of the best at that. Super Tecmo Bowl was even better!

It was one of the first ever sports games to use real players and real teams, injuries, kept stats.. the first game you could play a full season with.

I bought chicken from Harlan Saunders', before it became Kentucky Fried Chicken!

We didn't need a remote OR a knob on our first TV, there was only one channel available! (Just east of San Fran, 1954)

I remember when it was illegal to pump your own gas.

Air conditioning was not available as a factory option in most cars, you used a cooler...a metal tube that held a block of ice and hung on the passenger side window, ducting air inside.

You didn't drive Route 66 from Albuquerque to LA without a canvas bag of water hanging from your hood ornament...you passed cars every few miles that "boiled over"!

The best doughnuts in the world were (and still are) SpudNuts!!

We all lined the fence at school to see Vice-president Nixon drive by.

The only multi geared bikes were three speeds called "English Bikes"!

Rhumb:p

I remember when we got 2, 5, 7 and 12 -- and kind of 10, but the reception was bad, and it was just another PBS. And if you wanted to tape anything, it was Beta machine all the way. In fact, if we wanted to rent a movie, we also had to rent a VHS machine.

I also remember that Lazer Tag Saturday morning cartoon, in which they'd use the guns for anything but actually shooting someone.

Curious that all of my old "I remembers" have to do with tv. Sad really-

I remember when the only things I wanted for Christmas were an EasyBake Oven and the super big Tonka Truck that had the magnet and scoop attachments. Of course I never go either.

Guess what my kid got for Christmas last year?

One EasyBake Oven down, one Tonka Truck to go (except they're made out of plastic and not metal anymore :( ).

"Nanny and the Professor"--I'd hurry home from kindergarten so I wouldn't miss it.

There was another show on Sundays that had credits where a kids was walking in the middle of the road eating a PBJ sandwich. The crochety old neighbor honks the car horn, the kid throws the sandwich up in the air, and it lands on the car's windshield. Anyone remember this or did I just imagine it?

what do you remember about when ?

I remember when you purchased things in a store it had a sticker on it with the price , and someone punched keys. Now you can self scan yourself right out of a store , and not deal with a single human being.

Sounds pretty good to me.

nothing wrong with that at all.
