I've got these things growing wild. Custom made for Hummers. Wasps and bees can't get into them easily.

We have adorable cicada killers. They kinda blunder about. They are massive, but totally harmless unless you happen to be a cicada.

I'm inquisitive about many things, but not so much with bugs. But then there's bats- don't mind my ADHD tangent here. Bats, freak me out but cool at the same time, kinda like some bugs I guess? At least bats eat bugs though. Most bats, not all bats. Ok STFU. HA!

I have coyotes running in the green belt behind my apartment, and a mated pair of turkey buzzards nesting in the erosion control pond below my window. Did you know buzzards mate for life? I look it up on the internet, so it must be true.

We had a pack of coyotes in our woods once. And then wolf guy started breeding his wolf-dog hybrids and we stopped hearing the coyotes. I wonder if there was any correlational.

Well, he didn't seem to believe in bathing his dogs, or keeping them properly locked up. My MIL lost more chickens to the wolf-dogs than she ever did to the rest of the wildlife combined.

We have beavers, my SO told me he saw one and I assumed it was a groundhog; he’s a city boy. But no, I later saw one when with him.

There are some in a local preserve lake, but we now have them in our hood as well.

We are meant to have some coyotes, but I’ve never seen one.

Twice in the last 5 years, we have had a family of fishers rearing their pups in our back yard. Early in the spring, we could see them in the woods from out kitchen table. Then the foliage got too thick. After each time, we had no squirrels for two years. Apparently takes about two years to repopulate.

For anyone who doesn't know what a fisher is, it's roughly a half-scale wolverine.

Edit: While these are relatively native to my area, they're a popular pet species and have become invasive in many places because of pet releases or losses. They do not generally become ninjas, though.
