The "I don't want to talk about AI" thread, and the new topic is: Raquel Welch, fur bikini optional

And then there's the whole thing about "0" versus "null" in some programming languages. null≠0.
Sometimes it does equal. But even outside of that, computer science has like half a dozen different notions of ‘nothing’.

The number zero; a null pointer; an empty collection; the bottom type (cue BDSM puns); an absent value; and probably a few others. It’s really much ado about nothing, sometimes.

Nothing from nothing is nothing. I heard that in a song, so it has to be true.

Yeah, it kind of is. There was one day, Cat was peeking around the corner, one eye visible, and Donnie was right above her, the same way as her. Very creepy!
😂😂 Our dog creeps us out sometimes. Cattle dog mix with something something; anyway. He stares constantly, like non stop when he's bored and thinks it's playtime. Fell asleep on the couch once and my wife said he sat there staring for 45 minutes!

And what is it with dogs and cats? Do they frigging blink? Ever?

Cat does slow blinks to tell me she loves me. I slow blink back at her.

My dog is blind and deaf now (16 y/o). But sometimes she seems to be looking right at me and I don't know how she found me because her sense of smell is gone too. Then she turns and walks into a wall, confirming that she can't see.

Despite all this she still manages to find her inner puppy once a day and will bound like a happy sheep for 10-12 feet. She has the bedroom spacing down pat, so she hasn't hit anything yet.

🙂They can feel your energy, they know where your at! It's a beautiful thing having that connection.

it has been a great 15 years with her. I never thought I'd have a little white fluffy dog and she became a daddy's girl. But she was a stray who chose us.

Fantastic. When we adopted our first I didn't even want a dog. Turns out I picked her out and she became my dog, mostly. She was a husky retriever mix, lived to be 14 1/2 yrs old, we had her for 9 1/2. Our current guy prefers playing with me, but cuddles with my wife; not sure what that means😂. Pets are special and that relationship is amazing.

My dog when I was a kid would always come to me first, but if there was a thunderstorm or fireworks she would head straight to my dad.
I never blamed her for that. I'd have done the same.

😂😂 Loved you, but wanted Dad for protection! If it helps our husky/retriever would hide under a bed that I would then have to lift because she could get under, but not out. Even a little bit of rain she wouldn't go out to pee. Hated water. Loved snow though.

What kind of dog was it?
