Back on the car front (or underside in this case):

The diagnosis from my mechanic is bad caliper being replaced for free because the part was faulty and a rusted brake line. He's going to replace both brake lines (because I asked him to) to avoid the same thing happening in a few weeks because it's rusted out in almost exactly the same way.

They are a favorite of mine when I visit the aquarium. And the penguins. I have video somewhere of the little blues making car revving noises like in a racing game. I'm convinced a caretaker at night has been playing racing games around them.

I personally like the rock hoppers. Decades ago when we lived in metro Boston, we belonged to the Aquarium there. We would stop by just to watch the penguins on a regular basis when we were in the area.

My experience with zoos and aquariums would say Cleveland would be on par with this. The penguins there were pretty damn close and they smelled of fish and dirty aquarium water.

The Cleveland zoo also had this big central tube-like thing with sharks in it. I think it was totally inhumane, but I loved to look in it. I used to have this fear of the front curved wall disappearing as I looked in on the sharks and falling into the water. It made me dizzy to look in but I loved doing it.

And then you run into things like the Blue Ringed Octopus, all of 8" long and deadly venomous....

Big or small don't mean they're cuddle-able

An aquarium around here had one of those too when I was a kid. It was both amazing and scary.
I can't speak to Cleveland Zoo, but in the one here, the tube was just one part of their habitat and the sharks could freely come and go from there. Pretty sure it wasn't inhumane - my country is pretty damn strict on that stuff.
