BBQ joint in these parts prepares an awesome smoked turkey, always moist and tender, so tender you can cut it with the side of your fork. Mentioned in a couple of my stories, once by name.

We do turkey and brisket for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. I've got a nice smoker on my back porch.

It's not that I don't like turkey, if I have a choice, though (same for duck).

Cornish hens bathed in a honey bourbon sauce works for me

... I'm having a hell of a time.

On my way home from work my brakes went out. Car is currently at the mechanic, they'll check it out tomorrow 'cause there are exactly zero mechanics open on Sunday where I live.

AAA is awesome.

Kinda terrifying to try to stop at a stop sign and completely fail to do so until you basically put every ounce of your weight on the brakes to try to force it to stop and only barely get it to.
