The Hunter

Diane

I paced my room impatiently. Thomas had become closed mouth after his sketchy tale of the other woman. He wouldnt or couldnt tell me anything else except that the resembelance was uncanny. Instead he insisted we go out into the field for a work out and the first of my lessons. I had returned tired and sweaty but on edge-like I knew something was about to happen.

I went to my window and looked out. I couldnt stand being here when I knew she was out there. The confinment was driving me insane. I finally made up my mind. Whether Thomas wanted me to or not, I was going to go outside and scout around. The only thing he could do to stop me was kill me and I knew he wouldnt do that.

I walked out of my bedroom door and was about to go down the steps when another vision hit me and drove me to my knees. This one was different. This was not like the others where I had seen what had happened after the fact. Somehow I knew that this was happening now-right this very minute.

In the vision, I was in a field and ahead of me was Samantha. I was following her-keeping back so that she could not spot me or hear me. I could hear myself chuckling and the feeling of euphoria hit me like a drug. I was confident in what I was doing and I knew my plan was going to work. What the plan was I did not know but I felt like nothing could stop me now.

I tried to call out but my voice was a strangled whisper until at last the image left me. I gasped and begin to take in deep gulping breaths. "Thomas!," I yelled,"Thomas she is after her."

Thomas was beside me in a second and I managed to form my words into a coherent sentence. "The other woman is following Samantha right now. Samantha is headed here and she is close behind. We have to get to her."

OOC: Angelius. I have managed to rope a friend (female)into joining Lit. She is willing to come into the thread and I have given her a summary of the thread. Any suggestions on how to bring her in? BTW she is an excellent RPer..I work with her at another RP site and she is great.

OOC: Okay, she is welcome aboard anytime she likes. I was thinking that she would come in as a human character but I can't think of what type as I can't think of what type of character that I need- argh.

I picked up my sword and looked at Diane.

"I want you to stay here. I don't want it to be known that we know who this woman is and I want no arguments from you."

Before Diane could say another word I raced out of the house and towards the field, hoping that I would get there in time. As soon as I reached the edge of the field I heard my name being called and looked around until I saw Samantha running towards me. My hand went down to my sword and I walked towards her; looking around for this other woman. As soon as I was close to her she saw the look on my face and instantly knew that something was wrong. Before she could say anything I put my hand up and looked around.

I then heard the sound of footsteps and gripped the hilt of my sword. It was then that Diane's double appeared and looked at me with wide eyes. Before she could say anything I took a step forward and said, "What the hell are you doing out here. I told you to stay in the house."

Marci

I was so intent on tracking the girl and on my plans to kill Diane and then the two love birds that I did not listen to the feeling of another mortal that broke upon my consciousness until it was too late and I was face to face with Thomas.

Cursing myself for my stupidity, I answered harshly, forgetting to go into my Diane impression. "I dont remember giving you permission to order me about." I instantly bit my lip and chastised my rash words. Softening my face and voice and trying to appear sorry, I quickly added. "I apologize, Thomas, the situation is getting to me. You are right. I should have stayed put."

Walking past him, I headed roughly the way he had come, giving the girl a piercing stare before I did so. I would go far enough away to smooth thier concerns and then hide so that I could follow them to Thomas' house. If I stayed far enough back he should not get a feel that I was there and I would still be able to carry out my plans.

"Thomas?!! What is going on? Why is she still alive??" I bombarded him with questions, not giving him a chance to answer.

I buried my face in his chest, the memory of the glare she had just given me still seeping in. How could he just let her walk away like that...there had to be a logical reason. I was starting to regret my decision to leave home...

"Please Thomas, tell me what is happening..."

I looked at Samantha, "That is not Diane. That is someone who looks remarkably like her. Diane is still alive at living at my home because this person is after her and is out to kill her, you and myself. The only thing that I can tell you is that Diane looks different from that woman as she now has short hair which I cut myself so that when you see that woman just remind yourself that it is not Diane but don't say anything or do anything that would tip her off or she will kill you."
